Walking Well with Petra
6-week session!

Saturdays, April 7-May 12 from 9:00 am to 10:30 am
They say that walking is the best exercise, and I say that you can make it even better by learning walking skills! This class is focused entirely on gait – basics, shoe transitions, dealing with hills, building strength and range – and we’ll get out of the studio for real life practice each week. 

Better walking is a key to improving bone density, cardiovascular health, and the state of your joints and pelvic floor, just for a start. There will be (light) weekly homework and some readings and some serious hip strength.

Classes will be 90 minutes long – 60 minutes in the studio and 30 minutes of walking, ending at 10:30 am.

This pre-registered session will build strengths and skills as you progress through the weeks!

6 week session: $150 (+HST)
This workshop is intended for all levels, but if you aren’t sure or if you’re living with severe ongoing pain please get in touch with Petra to find out if it’s right for you.

NEW TEACHER:
We're welcoming Mary Beth to our teaching team! She'll be available for private sessions on Thursdays from noon to 7 pm. Her bio will be posted soon on the website!
CPR certification course on Saturday, March 24 from 2-7 pm, with Game Thirlwall

The course is a Canadian Red Cross CPR level C course, which means you will learn choking and CPR skills, including the use of an AED, for an adult and for a baby.  The CPR C certification is WSIB approved (and is the level required for fitness, yoga and pilates instructors). The Canadian Red Cross now uses electronic certifications so it should arrive in your email within 2 weeks of completion of the course. If you need a certificate right away, I can provide you with a temporary one the day of the course.
