Subject: Tired and Overwhelmed

Lee Hayward's Total Fitness Bodybuilding Tips
Hey Friend,

"On any given day, you may struggle with your habits because you're too busy or too tired or too overwhelmed or hundreds of other reasons. Over the long run, the real reason you fail to stick with habits is that your self-image gets in the way. This is why you can’t get too attached to one version of your identity.

Progress requires unlearning. Becoming the best version of yourself requires you to continuously edit your beliefs, and to upgrade and expand your identity."

Note: This is from James Clear - author of the book "Atomic Habits" which I highly recommend adding to your library.

I admit that I struggle with my eating and exercise habits. Even though I'm a "Master Health Coach" and should have all this stuff mastered - there are days that I don't feel like exercising, or don't feel like meal prepping, etc. Especially when life gets busy and stressful... Fatigue can make cowards of us all 😕

To help with this and get out of a funk, I strive to model people who have already achieved what I want to achieve. And then ask myself what would they do in a similar situation?

I'll often visualize detaching myself from the situation and look at things from a 3rd person perspective. This usually helps give me greater clarity on the next best action step to take - which is usually an action that may not feel good in the moment - but will ultimately feel much better in the long term.

all the best,
Lee Hayward
