 Dear Friend:

“Every strike brings me closer to the next home run.” Babe Ruth
It’s hard to believe that we’re already at the end of the first quarter of the year. We hope you are all doing well, staying healthy, and keeping positive. We’re still sheltered in place in Twentynine Palms, and getting ready to publish the next issue of Big Blend Radio & TV Magazine while also starting to make plans to move forward on our Love Your Parks Tour. Travel is going to be very slow, different, and socially distant with every health rule obeyed and precaution taken. If you want to see where we’ve been staying over the quarantine period, check out the new video we made of Homestead Inn.

Our Big Blend Community and new Parks & Travel Community Facebook Groups are steadily growing with members. We hope you come join in the fun, as well as the insightful conversations and networking opportunities. A highlight was our recent Big Blend Toast to Community Radio Show featuring legendary drummer Leslie Mandoki and eleven of our Big Blend Community Facebook Group members from around the world and across the country.

Hiking New Zealand’s South Island – Debbie Stone goes on a two-week “Kiwi” hiking adventure with Active Adventures New Zealand.

Nine Wonders Down Under – Linda Ballou shares her favorite national parks and outdoor adventures in Tasmania and Australia.

On the River’s Edge - Did you know that Yuma, Arizona offers plenty of outdoor opportunities on its rivers and lakes?

Music, Travel & Community - Podcast party featuring legendary drummer Leslie Mandoki and the Big Blend Facebook community.

Fine artist Mark J. Spangenberger - A contemporary realist, muralist, and portrait artist in Twentynine Palms, California.

Goin’ Home - From blues to traditional folk, the new album by Blind Lemon Pledge runs deep in Americana roots.

Ariel’s Island – Pat McKee’s action-packed legal thriller examines Artificial Intelligence through the lens of Shakespeare’s “The Tempest.”

Pass the Peanuts & Peanut Butter! Donna George shares three snack ideas for kids and a recipe for crispy bars.
