Faster, cheaper and more precise optical measurements

Researchers at the Warsaw University of Technology have developed the DeepQuadrature algorithm, which uses deep learning to create a virtual quadrature image (π/2 phase shift) from a single frame. This allows numerical reconstruction of the full phase information and an increase in SBP (space-bandwidth product) without multi-frame measurements.

New Shottky diode configurations

Researchers from INTiBS PAN have used a novel CER method to analyse electric fields in MXene/GaN hybrid structures for Schottky diodes. The researchers showed that MXene deposition increases the barrier height and stability of the structure even after annealing at 750°C. Diodes with Mo₂C and V₂C showed better performance.

PhotonQBoost, or photonic and quantum technologies for small and medium-sized companies

While PhotonHub Europe offers companies access to Europe's leading technology hubs, the new PhotonQBoost project promotes the direct collaboration of a wide range of technology developers and consumers for a more sustainable and resilient business in Europe.

The project, in which the PPTF participates with 6 other European photonics clusters, supports small and medium-sized companies: those creating photonic and quantum solutions for industry or those applying them to their business. PhotonQBoost directly funds development and deployment - it can therefore benefit both technology companies and their customers. The first competition for solutions for industry (projects with a value of EUR 50,000) will be launched at the end of the year.

In addition to funding, PhotonQBoost also offers innovation launch support and partner matchmaking. A target catalogue of services and detailed funding terms are currently being developed.

If your company would like to get information about the offer and competitions first, we invite you to answer a questionnaire (about 10 minutes) to help us tailor it to your needs.
