Polish Technological Platfrom on Photonics

The recruitment of exhibitors has started for the next edition of the meeting of companies and students from the broadly understood photonics environment. The fair will be held on Friday, 23 May, traditionally at the Auditorium of the Faculty of Physics, Warsaw University of Technology - of course, together with a competition for the Most Attractive Employer of the Photonics Job Fair. A delegation from the Berlin’s OpTecBB cluster has already confirmed its participation.

Candela Foundation and Wrocław University of Science and Technology invite you to the ELI ERIC MSc and PhD Thesis Topics Fair. The event will showcase opportunities for theses in collaboration with Extreme Light Infrastructure ERIC using the unique research equipment available. The event will take place on 27 March 2025 in a hybrid format – in-person in Wrocław and online. Pre-registration is mandatory.

The Candela Foundation cordially invites you to participate in this year's edition of the Polish Optical Conference (PKO), which will be held in Rzeszów from 30 June to 3 July. The deadline for submissions is 9 April. We encourage you to participate and exchange experiences among specialists in the optical and photonics community!

During the Elektrotechnika Fair in Warsaw, Ryszard Piramidowicz from the Institute of Microelectronics and Optoelectronics at the Warsaw University of Technology received the Personality of the Year 2024 award in the Science category - congratulations!

Eagle, a market leader in 2D laser cutting machines has opened an engineering branch in Szczecin. The company is counting on graduates from the West Pomeranian University of Technology and the Maritime University of Technology. Eagle plans to triple its design capacity in the near future.

The President of the Łukasiewicz Centre has appointed Janusz Sitek as Director of the Łukasiewicz - Tele and Radio Research Institute for another 5-year term - congratulations! Director Sitek has been with the institute since 1997, heading its activities since 2018.

The West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin, where research and educational activities in photonics are conducted at the Department of Telecommunications and Photonics, joined in March the Polish Technological Platform on Photonics and the Microelectronics, Electronics and Photonics Cluster coordinated by the PPTF.
