Should you lose weight slowly or quickly...what's more effective?

This could be VERY different than what you've been taught...

Most trainers teach people to lose 1-2 pounds per week, and stabilize their weight over time, leading to more permanent results.  This is what they are taught in school, and what makes logical sense to them.  Slow and steady wins the race, right?

WRONG.

1-2 pounds/week can be effective... but there's a better and more promising way to lose fat.

It's the same basic idea as HIIT (high-intensity interval training). We used to think long-duration, steady-state cardio was the most effective way to lose weight...HIIT has proven itself to generally be a more effective approach.

The same concept can be applied to an overall program.

If we have 'sprint' periods and 'rest' periods for weight loss, rather than just within an individual workout, we can accelerate results.
