Have a creative Friday night date in the Crossroads! Bring your sweetheart and try out the potter’s wheel. Red Star Resident Artists will teach you how to make your own pots. Each participant selects an item made in studio and Red Star will glaze and fire. Afterwards, check out one of the many local restaurants in the Crossroads.

Finished items can be picked up on the following First Friday.

Joey Watson's work relates to ceremonial accessories and practices. During a material study with glass, Watson took a special interest in the interface between glass particles and light waves and where the interaction between the two begins.

Born and raised in the arid Sonoran Desert, Watson's fascination with the visual splendor of the region began at an early age. Mountains carved over time by erosion and the unique plant and animal life continue to color his vision. Watson recently graduated from the Kansas City Art Institute with a BFA in ceramics and is currently a Charlotte Street Foundation studio resident.

His work is available for online purchase through November 30. Digital Debut is an online exhibition series featuring the work of regional, national, and international contemporary ceramic artists.
