Powell is known for her striking use of contrast, expertly pairing crisp silhouettes with pinched textures and combining bare clay with glossy glazed surfaces for truly unique forms. She'll demonstrate her handbuilding and press mold techniques, sharing insights into her design process. Don't miss the opportunity to see Powell's artistry up close.

Put a Lid on It: Lidded Vessel Invitational

Put a Lid on It features imaginative works by over 100 artists, each contributing lidded vessels across a vibrant range of media and styles. In addition, Kansas City woodworkers contributed handmade tables, creating a special setting for the lidded vessels All works, including the exquisite tables, are available for purchase at the Belger Crane Yard Gallery.

Resident Artists' Panel Discussion

January 18, 2026 from 11am to 1pm at the Belger Crane Yard Studios


Join us for our annual Resident Artist Panel Discussion and Potluck!


Each artist will give a short introduction and share images of their work, followed by a group discussion moderated by Belger Crane Yard Studios Manager Lilli Powell. Learn about their studio practices, projects, and more.


The potluck portion of the event starts at 11am, and the panel discussion starts at 12pm.
