And it is, more or less, a compendium of different black magicians and adapts exploring Apollyon or Abaddon, the destroyer. This grimoire presents a really interesting approach in left-hand path magic, in that different initiatory depths apply and explore Abaddon in different veins of expression of gnosis of their own predilection towards demonic, black, Luciferian or Left-Hand Path magick.

Abaddon presents the author, E.A. Koetting, who is a friend of mine. A very potentially eccentric and striving black magician who presents a compelling work in this grimoire. Timothy Donaghue writes the Antichrist Manifesto, which is a great work exploring left-hand path individualism and an outside approach to the Antichrist archetype and what that means. The Grimmoire of Abaddon by E.A. Koetting, as I mentioned, presents a different approach to how Abaddon has been perceived, but also exploring the demonic aspects in a sense of theury, or high magick.

My work is Apollyon, and it explores the history, the etymological and mythological history of Abaddon and Apollyon. Also, the origins and the balance between Apollyon and the archer plague music healing god Apollo, or Apollyon. And also the origins of demonology within the New Testament structure, and the bottomless pit and how that is related to the seat of divination called the Apollus.

Abaddon, by Edgar Kerval, presents the destroyer of worlds and working with the deific mask of Apollyon or Abaddon in a vampiric aspect, and as a huntress destroyer, as a consuming fire, and how this can be harnessed for you. Bill Duvendack, in Ululate Exitium presents a great exploration of the Great Beast and how Abaddon is the purifier who wanted to pass through to go through your initiation.

Liber Inferi by Orlee Stewart presents work centered in the mother of abominations and the gates of hell, exploring those. An excellent work, as well. V.K. Jehannum with Apollyon, of course, he is an author known for his Lovecraftian magic, and this work is no doubt a great key between the acasual and the casual and how those worlds, or those spheres, can interact. Enoch Petrucelly, and the Grimoire of Abaddon, presents the esoteric, the magical gnosis of Abaddon and passing through the abyss to reemerge, awakened.

I recommend this work not just because I contributed to it, but because it is actually a very interesting study of Abaddon and how to approach magick in your own unique way. You see that by how each author has explored Abaddon and how they uniquely adapt those energies, that deific mask, that demonic lord, to their own initiatory practices.
