The consciousness of Lucifer is one through which we can expand our mind enough to transmute or destroy those things that no longer serve us. As I’ve written in other places, the consciousness of Lucifer is truly unlimited consciousness and the expansion of one’s own perceptions in order to adapt to evolve, for that is the drive of all living beings. Hence we see a direct correlation between Shiva and Lucifer. However, this is not the extent of the correlations, but rather it is the tip of the iceberg. If you look at the Christian stories of Lucifer, you find that Lucifer was the brightest angel of that particular system, and in that system, angels are beyond male or female, so they are the truly androgynous beings in that paradigm. This is important to note because it has often times been said that Shiva is a female as much as Shiva is a male, and when we critically think about this, we come to discover that both are correct perceptions, for consciousness is beyond male and female, light and dark, good and evil. Consciousness simply is, and its one driving goal is to survive, and in order to do that, one must adapt to every changing circumstances.

By engaging in the work of the Shiva chapter in Awakening Lucifer, you are accentuating these traits of both, while not losing the essence of either. However, only those that either A) know Hinduism, or B) read this newsletter, will get an additional piece of esoteric wisdom that can help enhance the experience received from that chapter. In Hinduism, the use of malas, which are their version of prayer beads, is something that almost everyone uses, and these prayer beads are made of various substances that have metaphysical properties. The type that is sacred to Shiva are known as “rudraksha” beads, which are also known as the “tears of Shiva.” Thus, if you want to take your experience of that chapter to the next level, it would be wise to acquire a mala of Rudraksha beads and have it present on your altar during the workings. Even if you do not use them as traditional Hinduism dictates, you will find that the energy they have by simply being in the presence of Shiva/Lucifer is strong enough to empower your work of not only Lucifer, but also Shiva.

To close, there is one other detail to mention to enrich the experience of that chapter, and that is the detail of Shiva and the Left Hand Path. The term “Left Hand Path” has been brought to the west from Tantra, which is common in Hinduism, which means that as much as Shiva is Right Hand Path, Shiva is also Left Hand Path, and thus shows the universal nature of Lucifer in the process. By understanding that Shiva is a master of the Left Hand Path, we come to enhance our experience that comes from the workings in Awakening Lucifer to our lord Shiva.
