Today, I'd like to talk to you a bit about my contribution to this combined work, called The Poison Path, and how I’ll be revealing secrets that I have kept from the world for years, about what I know about sinister shamanism.

When the manuscript for Herbarium Diabolicum came across my desk, I was more than impressed at what Edgar was able to do. He has gathered a vast amount of information on how to use illicit, dangerous, or even deadly plants and the spirits of those plants in your black magick.

As I got to the end of it, I realized that I could bring some added value to the work as a whole, since I have a great deal of experience with psychoactive substances. As I meditated on this, asking myself what value I could actually bring to this project, the higher mind, or God mind, or the dark mind of the Prince of Darkness started speaking, not just to me, but through me, revealing the path that I have walked to arrive where I am today. I would be absolutely lying if I told you that psychoactive substances did not have a part in that path.

Once I had an idea of what I could contribute, which was basically to contextualize the ancient systems of sinister shamanism within the framework of the modern magician, I contacted Edgar and asked if he would mind if I threw in some of my notes on the experiences that I've had with 13 specific chemical compounds, plant compounds, or drugs. These are substances that society, religion, and the state tells us are not only completely useless, but extraordinarily harmful, and they're not entirely wrong. There is a lot of harm that can come your way by irresponsibly experimenting with anything in this book, because this is the real deal.

Herbarium Diabolicum focuses on the systems of shamanism that have been around for longer than recorded history, systems that will probably continue to be around as long as we are able to continue growing plants. He knows exactly what he’s talking about. The information he’s collected and shared in this tome is second to none.

My contribution, The Poison Path, adds a modern context for the modern magician. As I've stumbled through the darkness, trying to find my way through my own path of magick, I've largely been unaware that I've accidentally been opening certain gateways within myself, within reality around me, and within other people. But after reading Edgar's manuscript, I realized that I had actually been guided to these substances for very specific reasons.

I actually identify 13 different gateways, portals that are opened up in the self and in your immediate environment upon ingesting or even coming into proximity with some of these compounds. The Poison Path teaches the reader not only the uses and powers of each of these 13 substances and gateways, but also gives you some insights on how you can more safely negotiate and navigate through something that is inherently dangerous. Most importantly, I teach how you can pull yourself out of the addiction cycle with each of these substances, so that you can avoid being a slave to them. I also give some really good tips and insights into the sacrifices that are extracted by each of these gateways.
