Hey Friend,

As you probably know, I co-authored an all-new summer grimoire with the internationally renowned astrologer Bill Duvendack. We titled it Awakening Lucifer. We embarked to formulate the most versatile and historical grimoire on Luciferian Gnosis. It connects the dots between a multitude of revered civilizations and mythical cultures to identify the Luciferian Archetype that underlies them all. It seems the Magic Spirit of Lucifer—his signature ethos—has arisen myriad times and perhaps lives in the heart of humanity itself.

I welcome you to read a free sample chapter of it. If you like it, join us at midnight on Monday evening, June 12th for a copy.

Today I’d like to present a glimpse into the first chapter of Awakening Lucifer. This chapter is dedicated to Prometheus, who is a well-known mythological figure and one of the most popular Luciferian archetypes. I am sure that even if you don’t know his story, you have at least heard his name mentioned alongside Lucifer as an archetype of the bringer of fire. Lucifer is referred to as the Light Bearer or the Torch Bearer, and believed to be the bringer of illumination and power. Prometheus has similar qualities.

The Greek Titan Prometheus As The Bringer Of Fire

If you’re not familiar with his story, I’ll shortly present it here because it is important in discussing his role as a Luciferian archetype. Prometheus comes from Greek mythology, where he is one of the Titans, primordial beings of chaos. In the same lore he is the creator of mankind and the teacher of secrets of civilization. There are two parts of the story that bear the greatest significance to us.

In the first, Zeus, the highest of the gods, demands from mankind a sacrifice of animal meat. Prometheus, the protector of mankind, splits a large bull in two parts and asks the chief of the gods to choose one of them. The first part is meat hidden under the skin, and the other consists of bones wrapped in fat. Zeus falls for the trick and choses bones and fat, leaving the meat and the best part of the sacrificial animal for humanity. When he realizes his mistake, he decides to punish mankind, so he hides fire at the Olympus. This is equivalent to depriving man of the power of creation and evolution.

"Prometheus steals the fire back..."

Seeing that humanity is weak and fragile, Prometheus steals the fire back from Olympus and brings it down to earth. After that, he instructs mankind in arts and crafts, wealth and luxury, the knowledge of medicine, the art of divination, and the discovery of metals. In other words, he endows man with the greatest advancements in the history of civilization. But for the theft of fire and the betrayal of Zeus, he is punished by being chained to a rock, where his liver is eaten daily by an eagle, only to be regenerated by night. The agony never ends because Prometheus is immortal and cannot die, suffering all the pain every day, for all eternity. There are versions of the story in which he is released from his torment as well, but in most of them he pays a great price for helping humanity.

How To Unmask Prometheus As An Incarnation
Of The Cosmic Lucifer Archetype

What has it got to do with Lucifer? As we know, Lucifer doesn’t really sacrifice himself for humanity, at least not in the Christian lore. But in this case, it is not the sacrifice that connects Prometheus with Lucifer, but the question of courage, pride, and independence. Lucifer is banished from heaven for his pride and desire to be equal to God. The same quality we find in Prometheus. The gift of fire and the secrets of civilization are meant to make people equal to the gods, too. These are secrets hidden from mankind, inaccessible to any beings other than the gods. So, like Lucifer, who initiates the path of independence and freedom, making other angels follow him, Prometheus ignites the same desire of freedom and power in a human being. He is usually seen as a savior and benefactor of mankind, but there is a lot more to it, and he has many faces that are not commonly known. First of all, he can be seen as a trickster character, and this way you can also experience his gnosis through practical work with this ancient archetype. And in this sense, he is not the hero sacrificing himself for the love of humanity, but a cunning trick-player and shape-shifter, who transgresses boundaries driven by will to power and pure instinct of survival.

"He sets fire to the world to rebirth it from the ashes..."

From myths we learn about his love for humanity, willingness to sacrifice himself for the greater good, strength, compassion, and desire to help those in need, but in fact, there is nothing human about Prometheus. His energy is neutral, chaotic and unpredictable. He is beyond all legends and portrayals that were shaped by the human desire of a model figure, savior and initiator looking after us, his beloved creations. But this is not Prometheus. He is a primordial being preceding all human conceptions. He walks primal and free, setting the world on fire so that it can burn and become reborn from the ashes. He doesn’t act according to any cosmic laws or on behalf of any gods or higher beings, which is another feature connecting him with Lucifer. For him, this is all an experiment - setting things in motion so that they can develop by themselves. He provides man with the divine potential, but it is solely up to us how we use it, be it for growth and evolution or for war and self-destruction. Promethean fire makes all this possible because it holds the potential of all destruction and all creation.

Fire is therefore the key to the gnosis of Prometheus. What is this fire in a magical sense? Of course, we can look at it as the element of fire in itself, which is a symbol of energy, creativity, action, power, and sexuaIity, but the fire of Prometheus is also the flame of self-awareness and awakened consciousness. From the Draconian perspective, we can say that it is Kundalini, the Serpent Force, which burns in every cell of the human body, ascending in a stream of flaming force to bring illumination and freedom and to transform man into a god-like being. Prometheus steals the divine fire by hiding it in a giant fennel-stalk, and this fennel stalk, the hollow tube, corresponds to the spinal column, which is called Shushumna and is the main channel for the Kundalini flow in the human body. And so, like the Titan, who brought down fire from heaven, the practitioner working with the Serpent Force brings down the divine fire to manifest here, in the world of shadows and illusions. Promethean fire, which burns within all of creation, is therefore a metaphor for the Fire Snake, the evolutionary force unfolding from the inside and triggering all growth and progress of mankind.

This is how Prometheus is approached in Awakening Lucifer. You will find more information about him, his sigil, and rituals to work with him in the book itself, helping you to awaken the Fire Bringer and use his gnosis for the sake of personal power.
