Hey Friend,
The last ritual that I was going to do in working with Belial was possession.
In planning for this ritual, I thought that I would kneel in my Universal Circle and invoke him using his various names. I thought that he might come into me, and that I would thrash around on the ground, and behave like a mad-man.
I was preparing myself for letting go of myself in that way. It's hard to do this sort of thing on camera. It's hard to know that you are losing yourself in front of untold numbers of people. I knew that it would be intense, and that I would have to cross that bridge and let myself go, camera or no camera, so I was preparing myself for that.
But on the day before I had elected to invoke Belial, I became extraordinarily ill with a simple cold. I don't normally get sick, and when I do it minimally interferes with my life, but this has been a ridiculous illness to deal with, and try to just get over physically.
But it's been more than just physical. The illness was just one manifestation of it.
Because of the illness, I worried that I’d have to reschedule the ritual of possession for another date. I worried that Belial would be bothered by this, or that the momentum of the Work would be slowed.
What I realized was that I didn't need to do a ritual to have Belial possess me because he was already inside me.

I felt my self changing, and I thought it was just myself.
I found myself lashing out at people, people that I thought were friends that I then found out weren't. I've called them out and I've let them know. Where normally I would have turned the other cheek, I have smashed them.
Resist it all. Resist it all. Resist it all. It's hard.
It's hard letting that be because I'm not an angry person. I'm not a person that feels like I need to smash the untruths around me, but Belial feels that way.
So I have no apologies because what I've set into place is being set into place for a reason.
He's showing me where I was bound. Just as he told me he would. He said he would show me things as long as I would listen, and I'm listening.
I'm also seeing very clearly that control is an illusion. Control is an illusion.
I have no control.
I have no control, but there is a spirit within me that does.
There is a spirit within me that has all power to resist. There is a spirit within me that has the power that is needed to stage a successful revolution against default reality.
All I can do is embrace that spirit.
So now I've just barely had the last pieces of this illness passing through me.
Belial has weakened me, and he's spoken to me, and I've heard his message.
And, more than that, I know that I’ve only just started this work, Belial is only the first of nine Gatekeepers.
There are still eight more to go, and my own transformation is already well underway!
