Animal communicators will be offering sessions both days at $1 per minute, and artists and artisans will be offering photography, knitted and crocheted items, holiday decorations, scrapbooks, jewelry, paintings, woodwork and more to benefit the organization.

Wholesale clothing sales reps don’t like to make much of a fuss when they sell their samples because they don’t like to undercut their clients, the retailers. So the semiannual Madison Exchange Sample Sale, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 4, at the Holiday Inn Select, 455 S. Colorado Blvd., is a pretty low-key affair. But I’ll tell you this: You’ll find great prices on some of the best lines in sportswear, sporting goods, apparel and equipment for men, women and children. Go! You’ll be glad.
