Wax to Bronze Workshop with Michael Vaynman - NEW DATES

Sat 18 & Sun 19 April 2026 | 10am — 4pm

Due to popular demand, we have organised a second workshop with Michael this April.

During this workshop students will be shown various techniques to utilize the variable states of the wax medium. Students will be shown how to construct a wax armature, explore modelling techniques and the use of tools for refining and texturing. Students will have the opportunity (at an additional cost) to have their finished wax sculptures cast in bronze by Michael, using the lost wax casting process.

Please note this workshop is very popular and we anticipate that it will sell out—don't miss out—enrol today!

NEW Life Drawing for Sculptors with Simon Harris 6 Weeks on Saturday Afternoons

This NEW 6-week life drawing course focuses on learning to see and draw the human figure as a three-dimensional form. Work from a live model each week, developing gesture, structure, light and anatomy, and complete a final study that strengthens sculptural practice.

Simon Harris has an extensive background in graphics and illustration, with a recent shift toward sculpture following his studies at TBSSS. Since 2003 he has taught illustration at Billy Blue College of Design. His figurative drawings have been finalists in major prizes, including the Dobell Drawing Prize. Simon brings a strong analytical eye and sculptural awareness to drawing from the live model.
