Subject: Weekly Astrology Update ✨ Podcast Alert!

Dear Stargazers,

As I'm doing a bit of traveling from now through the end of summer, it seems I won't always be able to release podcasts on a Friday until September. In the meantime, keep an eye on your inbox because I'll be announcing them when they drop, or better yet, click here to subscribe to my YouTube channel. Be sure to click the bell symbol to be alerted when new episodes are released.

In the meantime, get ready for an energetic shift this week as Mercury and the Sun enter the sign of the Lion!

WEEKLY FORECAST FOR JULY 18 - 24
All dates are given in the Eastern Time Zone.

Planetary Activity

Jul. 19: Mercury enters Leo

Jul. 22: Sun enters Leo

Best Days: While there are other days during this time frame that are fine, these are the best of the bunch. What do I mean by the best? The energy is flowing, the moon isn't void and there's a greater likelihood for happy and/or productive outcomes.

Jul. 23, 24

Best Avoided: The energies on these days aren't favorable for new ventures or any activity where you want or need a definite result. If you must schedule something, you may have to think on your feet, or there may be a need for patience or flexibility.

Jul. 18, 19

Notable Aspects

Mon, July 18: Mercury opposite Pluto

Since this influence promotes awareness, it can stimulate conflict and disagreements depending upon the information that comes to light. Should that be the case, if you can get to the heart of the matter and clear the air, you'll be able to move forward in a much stronger position.

Tues, July 19: Sun opposite Pluto

It's possible to encounter opposition to your ideas today, so if possible you're better off presenting them after this influence has passed. On a similar note, you could experience a power struggle with someone. Although it's more likely that the other person will be trying to dominate you, it could be the other way around. If so, this influence will likely create a backlash against you, so for now you'll do better to back off.

Sat, July 23: Mercury trine Jupiter

This is a wonderful day for signing contracts, because the energy suggests that you'll get a very good deal. This is also a good day to begin a new course of study, especially if it involves religion, spirituality, law or philosophy. If you happen to be the one doing the teaching, you can expect to be more effective than usual.  If you are traveling today, your journey should go smoothly, and if you're note, you could decide it's time to book a vacation.

TRANSITING MERCURY IN LEO

July 19 - August 4, 2022

From the moment Mercury crossed into the Lion’s den, he felt an urge to polish his wings, clear his throat and take center stage.

In Leo, Mercury is confident, authoritative and enjoys the spotlight, and as the planetary ruler of communications, he can teach the rest of the zodiac a thing or two about showmanship.

Whether he’s teaching, preaching, making idle conversation or speaking in front of millions, Mercury in Leo demands to be heard.

What’s more, he expects everyone’s undivided attention.

As the fifth sign of the zodiac, Leo presides over creativity, self-expression, entertainment, gambling, sports, children, the performing arts and anything that ignites your passion.

That’s why whenever Mercury visits Leo, he’s enthusiastic, playful and yes, a bit dramatic. He’s also direct, speaks with authority and excels as a teacher, performer, politician or motivational speaker.

Of course, there are two sides to every sign, and Leo is no exception. When Mercury in Leo is displaying the Lion’s lower nature, he can be insensitive, short-tempered, condescending and unwilling to listen to someone else’s opinion, needs or desires.

While Mercury is in Leo, many of you may experience a burst of creativity, newfound enthusiasm or an increase in physical vitality. It’s also possible that some of you will seek the limelight, while others may feel compelled to speak your mind.

For those of you who may have been reluctant to speak a much-needed truth to someone, this energy may be just what the cosmos ordered.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LEO!

Dedicated with love to my daughter, Laura. Wherever you are, there is the Sun.

Although the rest of the signs may not  care to admit it, Leo is the star of the zodiac. Ruled by the Sun, which represents the life force, those born under the sign of the Lion are meant to be in the spotlight.

Hard as they may try, no other sign celebrates life with as much joy, enthusiasm and style as Leo. This is not to say they’re perfect, mind you.  While they’re innate nature is warm, loving and generous, they can at times be vain, self-centered and more than a bit melodramatic.

In short, their fiery nature  can singe a heart as easily as it warms it.

Although they usually don’t like to share the  spotlight, Leos can be quite generous in other ways. In fact,  when it comes to spoiling loved ones, they have more than just big hearts. They also have big budgets.

Of all the signs, Leo is the most willful, and they don’t back down. In the wild, the lion’s brute strength protects its pride while the lioness’ fierce hunting skills nourish it.

Likewise, Leo women are just as formidable and accomplished as Leo men.

While Lions Carl Jung, Henry Ford, Alfred Hitchcock, Andy Warhol, Gene Kelly, Mick Jagger, Tony Bennett, Kenny Rogers, Fidel Castro, Bill Clinton, Hugo Chavez, Barack Obama, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Steve Martin, Wilt Chamberlain and Magic Johnson have certainly made their mark in the world, so have Lionesses Coco Chanel, Amelia Earhart, Lucille Ball, Julia Child, Jacqueline Kennedy, Jennifer Lopez, Madonna, Whitney Houston, Viola Davis, Helen Mirren, Sandra Bullock, Jacinda Arden, Marine LePen, Megan Markle, Martha Stewart and J.K. Rowling.

Love them or loathe them, you’ll never ignore them because every single Leo is born with star quality.

In August 1987, I was on a gurney just outside the delivery room with my newborn daughter resting comfortably across my chest. A swinging door opened, and in walked the doctor with my mom and dad who had been sitting in the waiting room while I was in delivery.

As they came closer to catch a glimpse of their first and only grandchild, my little cub who was less than two hours old lifted her head ever so slightly and let out a roar to let the world know she had arrived.

In that instant, we knew a star was born.

And she knew it as well.

Every member of the zodiac sparkles in its own distinct way, but none of them can rival Leo’s brilliance.

Of course, that doesn’t mean the rest of us should stop trying.

CLOSING THOUGHTS

I'll be back next week with insights into what promises to be a wonderful new moon!

Until then,

May Jupiter's blessings be your constant companion,
