The first two days of the week hold the most promise for everyone, but Saturday's new moon solar eclipse may prove to be a bit rocky for some of you. BEST DAYS: While there are other days during this time frame that are fine, these are the best of the bunch. What do I mean by the best? The energy is flowing, the moon isn't void and there's a greater likelihood for happy and/or productive outcomes.

BEST AVOIDED: The energies on these days aren't favorable for new ventures or any activity where you want or need a definite result. If you must schedule something, you may have to think on your feet, or there may be a need for patience or flexibility.

Today is an excellent day to think about changes and improvements that you would like to make happen in your life. Mercury's ease with Saturn offers an opportunity to get clear about your circumstances,and the Sun's friendly relationship with Saturn offers the chance to come up with creative solutions that make practical sense.

In addition to being a productive day, the Venus-Neptune trine suggests it can be a soul-satisfying one as well. Whether it's due to some type of creative inspiration, a romantic encounter or time spent doing something you truly enjoy, you're likely to feel it was a day well spent.

NEW MOON SOLAR ECLIPSE at 12°22' SAGITTARIUS

Saturday's solar eclipse in the sign of the Archer is notable because it brings the Gemini-Sagittarius eclipse cycle to close. It's also notable because the final hit of the transiting Saturn-Uranus square is aspecting it, and while Saturn does offer some support, it's not enough to offset the unsettling energy that comes from Uranus.

So what does it mean for new beginnings? For starters, since this one is conjunct Mercury it suggests that there's likely to be a lot of talk about it, and/or it could require a some brainstorming, planning or multitasking to prepare it for takeoff.

On a positive note, Saturn's sextile to the eclipse is a stabilizing influence and suggests that one's efforts could definitely pay off. However, the tight quincunx (adjustment) from Uranus to the eclipse suggests that something is likely to go awry or turn out differently due to an unforeseen event. While it's possible that a new venture or relationship could suddenly fizzle out, it's more likely that circumstances will require an unwanted or inconvenient adjustment.

However, keep in mind that even though this eclipse leaves much to be desired in terms of supportive aspects, it can influence your life in a wonderful way if it makes flowing connections to your personal horoscope.

On another note, this solar eclipse falls squarely on the USA's Ascendant (Sibly chart) while Uranus (surprises, freedom) applies a quincunx (adjustment) to it from the nation's 6th house (workforce, public health, medical personnel). Since the eclipse falls on the Ascendant, it makes a quincunx (adjustment, illness) to the nation's Sun (President and the nation's 9th house ruler).

Whether it's good, bad or indifferent, everything has a beginning, and in the case of the USA, this eclipse suggests we can expect new issues related to public health, the workforce and especially medical personnel that will require further adjustments (restrictions), and the President's approval rating and/or global reputation may suffer because of it.

Given the recent news about the Omicron variant, it appears that the eclipse-related event may have come early. Time will tell if that's the case.

Although you're most likely to feel this eclipse if you have planets or sensitive points at or near 12°22' of Sagittarius, Gemini, Virgo or Pisces, the eclipse falls somewhere in everyone's chart.
