Subject: New Moon ✨ Mercury Rx ✨ Daily Forecast and More!

Dear Stargazers,

This week brings a Sagittarius new moon, Mercury retrograde and a distracting Sun-Neptune square that could feel like a bit of an energy drain.

Check it all out below ⬇️

ASTROLOGY FORECAST
DECEMBER 11 - 17, 2023
All dates and times are given in EDT.

Monday, December 11. Today's lighthearted Mercury-Venus sextile suggests that your mind and your heart are on the same page, making it easier for you to discuss your values, communicate your priorities or share how you feel about someone.

If you express romantic feelings to someone (or someone expresses them to you), the transiting Moon in Sagittarius (6:12 AM) suggests that it's likely to be a casual expression of affection rather than a dramatic declaration of love.

Since Venus also rules money, this influence can be helpful for creating a budget or making a shopping list. However, with Mercury stationing retrograde on Wednesday, it's likely to experience a few changes during the coming weeks.

Tuesday, December 12. New Moon in Sagittarius. Details below.

Wednesday, December 13. The void moon (1:49 AM - 10:32 AM) suggests that you get routine tasks out of the way before focusing on important assignments or decisions once the transiting Moon enters Capricorn (10:32 AM).

Once it does, there's a lunar focus on achievement and you can count on the transiting Moon's harmony with Saturn and Jupiter to promote stability, determination and productivity.

However, with Mercury stationing retrograde today, there's a chance that interruptions or misunderstandings could interfere with your work flow, scheduled meetings or frankly anything else you had planned for today.

Mercury stations retrograde at 1:51 PM. Details below.

Thursday, December 14. The overall energy of the day is very good, and you should do your best to take advantage of the fortunate connections between the transiting Capricorn Moon and Mercury (communications), Venus (love, money) and Uranus (originality).

These influences are very supporting for problem-solving, financial planning, creative ventures and romance. The only caveat is that Mercury is retrograde, so extra care may be needed to avoid mistakes and discernment should be used before sharing ideas or confidences.

Friday, December 15. After a brief void (11:04 AM - 12:56 PM), the transiting Moon enters Aquarius and the lunar spotlight is on group associations, making this a good day to seek out (or participate in) professional or community groups with like-minded individuals.

When it comes to your personal relationships, given the detached nature of this lunar influence, you're likely to prefer to keep things casual today, while more independent types will find they prefer their own company.

Saturday, December 16. Unless you're mindful of today's transiting Sun-Neptune square, your focus and concentration could fall prey to its distracting influence.

Even so, it's best to avoid making important plans or decisions today, because the discouraging and ego-denying nature of this transit makes it likely that someone will try to rain on your parade.

On a different note, this transit can coincide with a decrease in one's physical or emotional vitality, so don't be surprised if you suddenly feel the urge to take a nap.

Sunday, December 17. Today's lengthy void moon (7:04 AM - 2:59 PM) offers an excellent opportunity to spend time on activities that don't need or insist on a specific outcome.

Since this void moon occurs in Aquarius, this is a good day for a casual get-together with friends or for attending an in-person or Zoom group connected to a spiritual, political or humanitarian interests.

At 2:59 PM, the transiting Moon enters Pisces, and the energetic focus shifts to solitary activities, and shortly after it makes its ingress, the transiting Moon has a run-in with Saturn (4:00 PM - 6:00 PM).

On that note, should you find yourself feeling a bit lonely around that time, just chalk it up to Saturn's gloomy influence and know that it will soon pass.

NEW MOON AT 20°40' SAGITTARIUS

DECEMBER 12, 2023 • 6:32 PM

This month's new moon in Sagittarius makes a tight square to Neptune. Normally, this aspect would infuse the new moon with a disheartening energy, which was the case when Neptune squared the Gemini new moon earlier this year.

While it's very possible that Neptune's influence on this new moon will follow suit, it's also that it's influence will be blindly optimistic.

Why? Because every Sagittarius new moon is brimming with optimism, faith and a never-say-die attitude, and while Neptune's vision can be discouraging, its also the stuff that dreams-come-true and happily-ever-afters are made of.

Although this may not seem like the most likely outcome given the hard nature of the square, there's still a strong chance that this new moon will be called Pollyanna rather than Debbie Downer.

And that's because while the square does often coincide with challenges, as the action-producing aspect of astrology, its purpose is to make things happen (good, bad or indifferent) happen.

Plus, with benevolent, generous and lucky Jupiter (generosity) ruling this new moon, there's a good chance there are quite a few blessings stored in this one.

One final note: Although Mercury isn't retrograde during this new moon (it's actually not moving at all), it's just a technicality because it stations retrograde less than 24 hours later. Yes, it's still facing forward, but it's also at a complete standstill and its energy is a bit wonky, so it's very possible that your intentions could a little longer to germinate.

If that turns out to be the case, it could be the Universe's way of telling you that on some level you need to revise your intention.

MERCURY RETROGRADE

December 13 - 22 in Capricorn

December 23 - January 1 in Sagittarius

From December 13 - 29, transiting Mercury will be retrograde in Capricorn and while he's here, it's time to revisit your perception of success, redefine your ambitions, and reevaluate what you have been doing up until now to achieve them.

During this time, you could realize that you need to restructure your business, revise you organization's goals, create realistic income targets, reestablish past relationships or relinquish outdated ideas.

However, things change once December 23 rolls around and Mercury backtracks into Sagittarius.

From that point forward until January 1, the day it stations direct in Sagittarius, transiting Mercury's thought process will be inspired rather than grounded, and his attention will shift away from achieving worldly success and turn to theories about personal growth and evolution.

Likewise, at this time you may feel drawn to reexamine how your worldly goals can help you or others evolve. reconsider how you can help you or others evolve

With a new year just weeks away, this cycle can help you get clear about what you want to achieve on a professional, as well as on an evolutionary level, in 2024.
