Dear Stargazers,

On September 23, the transiting Sun will enter Libra and, depending upon which hemisphere you call home, you'll be celebrating the autumn or spring equinox.

Here in New York, I'll be welcoming autumn and looking forward to crisp mornings, colored foliage and peace of mind from knowing there'll soon be an end to noisy lawn mowers, edgers and leaf blowers.

Whichever season you're welcoming, Happy Equinox to you!

On a different topic, I want to let you know that the next new episode Shortcut to the Soul should be released on Saturday, September 28. If you missed the most recent episode, Intercepted Horoscopes, you can click here to catch up. For those of you who are interested in learning how to interpret intercepted charts, a course is in the works so stay tuned!

Finally, registration for my first online Astrology Town Hall (The Dark Side of the Moon) is now open. You'll have lifetime access to this webinar, so if you can't attend it live you'll be able to watch it later at your convenience.

BEST AVOIDED

The energies on these days aren't favorable for new ventures or any activity where you want or need a definite result. If you must schedule something, you may have to think on your feet, or there may be a need for patience or flexibility.

NEW MOON AT 5°20' LIBRA
September 28, 2019 | 2:26 PM
Washington, DC

Like all Libra new moons, this one supports new beginnings in love as well as fairness and justice. It also strongly supports creating or restoring peace and harmony in our relationships (and our lives in general).

As it happens, this one is devoid of any major aspects which means its energy is pure and uninfluenced by any other planets.

While it's good that this new moon isn't being afflicted by any significant negative influences, it's also not being assisted by any positive ones. On that note, when it comes to manifesting intentions, we can benefit by supporting the new moon's energy with some type of positive action that supports out intention.

Whether it's the addition of a metaphysical tool such as a vision board or crystal grid or concrete action such as initiating a meeting or reaching out to someone, you'll help stir up and steer the energy in the direction of your dream.
Getting Personal

So what are the life areas that might be ripe for a new beginning in your life? Or in the case of this new moon, that might be ripe for establishing more balance or new boundaries?

They're revealed by the horoscope house that's hosting this new moon in your chart. If you don't know which house holds 5°20' of Libra in your horoscope, you can refer to the list below to find out where the new moon falls in your solar (sun-sign based) chart.

If your Sun sign is:

Aries, it falls in your 7th house (marriage and all one-to-one relationships including best friends, adversaries, business partners and clients).
Taurus, it falls in your 6th house (health, work, pets, diet, nutrition).
Gemini, it falls in your 5th house (romance, children, creative self-expression, entertainment).
Cancer, it falls in your 4th house (home, family, real estate, parents).
Leo, it falls in your 3rd house (siblings, neighbors, short trips, cars, contracts, negotiations.).
Virgo, it falls in your 2nd house (income, spending, personal values, self-esteem, tangible assets).
Libra, it falls in your 1st house (your physical body, attitude towards life).
Scorpio, it falls in your 12th house (spirituality, creativity, mental health, addictions).
Sagittarius, it falls in your 11th house (groups, associations, hopes, casual friends, colleagues).
Capricorn,it falls in your solar 10th house (career, fame, status, reputation).
Aquarius, it falls in your 9th house (education, law, religion, foreign and long-distance travel, publishing).
Pisces, it falls in your 8th house (intimacy, shared resources, other people's support, birth, death, estate matters).

Manifesting with the Libra New Moon

You can set any intention under any new moon but when it's in Libra, it especially favors:

Actions and affirmations to attract or enhance committed unions such as marriage, close friends and business partners; resolve legal matters and achieve equitable settlements; resolve issues with competitors or adversaries; locate skilled litigators, mediators, arbitrators, matchmakers, decorators, wedding planners and beauty consultants.

TRANSITING PLUTO STATIONS DIRECT at 20°38' CAPRICORN
October 3, 2019 | 2:37 AM EDT

During the past 5 months while Pluto was retrograde, its transformative energy was best used introspectively. In other words, by turning our scrutiny inward and determining who and/or what we need to purge from our lives and where it may be time to make some irrevocable changes.

Once Pluto station direct at 20°38' Capricorn, its time to put that analysis to good use by releasing who and/or what no longer serves us and let the chips fall where they may.

On a much more personal note, if you have any planets or sensitive points at 19°-20° of Taurus, Virgo, Aries, Cancer, Libra or Capricorn, you're been experiencing a Pluto transit.

If the planet or point is in Taurus or Virgo, it brought a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to reinvent some area of your life in a major way.

If the planet or point is in one of the cardinal signs - Aries, Cancer, Libra or Capricorn - this transit is also a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to transform some area of your life. However, since the nature of this cycle is to destroy and then rebuild, it's likely you that you felt a major change was forced upon you.

Either way, this year marks the end of this transformative cycle for you, and if it's been a tough one, take heart in the knowledge that Pluto always replaces whatever it takes with something better.
TRANSITING MERCURY ENTERS SCORPIO
Oct. 3 - 30 (Direct)
Oct. 11 - Enters pre-retrograde shadow
Oct. 31 - Nov. 19 (Retrograde)
Nov. 20 - Dec. 9 (Direct)

As the planetary ruler of the mind, Mercury has carte blanche to speculate, investigate, interrogate and extrapolate to his heart’s content, and while he’s in Scorpio, he’ll use whatever means necessary to do so. He’ll scrutinize every word, dissect every action and snoop in medicine chests, emails, diaries and financial statements. In the Underworld, nothing is sacred which means everything is fair game. >>Read More.
TRANSITING MARS ENTERS LIBRA
Oct. 4 - Nov. 19

After weeks of working, serving and healing others, Mars was ready to call it a day and move on to a livelier destination where he could socialize, have some fun and, most of all, light a romantic fire or two.

So after he gave proper notice, washed his hands and hung up his toolkit, he headed into Libra where he knew relationships were sure to blossom.

However, when Mars is in Libra, he's in the sign of his fall which means he has to play by someone else's rules. In Libra, Mars has to tone down the noise, the ego and the testosterone, because if he wants to succeed in the 7th house, he needs to be polished, poised and well-mannered.

He also needs to be balanced, which isn't easy for him because he's not used to intellectual analysis. With his fiery nature, he's used to making decisions intuitively and immediately. However, once he tries his hand at it, he discovers that he's a skillful negotiator, which is a welcome asset to someone who loves to win.

When  it comes to romance, Mars is about physical passion but much to his chagrin, the 7th house, the three-date rule applies which means he needs to court the object of his affection. Although patience isn't his strong suit, Mars loves a challenge and when the prize is enticing, he always rises to the occasion.

Although Mars may not be at his best in Libra, he's always the best he can be.
