Subject: Mini Astro Lesson + Your Weekly Astrology Forecast

Dear Stargazers,

Although the week ahead is an energetic mixed bag, the good news is that it starts off well and while there are a few bumps along the way, they shouldn't throw you off course.

Since the heavens are rather quiet this week, I've included a mini-lesson that was inspired by a reader's question, because I thought it might be of interest to many of you.

ASTROLOGY FORECAST
MAY 22 - 28, 2023
All dates and times are given in EDT

Monday, May 22. The week starts off with Sun-Mars sextile that favors activities connected to creativity, physical vitality and personal ambitions. The transiting Cancer Moon also lends it support through beneficial aspects to Jupiter, Saturn and Mercury that promote optimism, stability and emotional intelligence. This is a good day to pursue your goals because these influences will help you take advantage of opportunities in a way that will help you come across with confidence.

Tuesday, May 23. Today's Mars-Jupiter square suggests that your ambition, impatience and impulsiveness could be in overdrive today. If so, take a step back and reflect before pulling the trigger on a new venture, saying yes to a huge opportunity or making big promises or you could end up biting off more than you can chew.

On a different note, some of you may need to exercise restraint when it comes to spending. The square (action-provoking) between Mars (impulsive, self-interested) and Jupiter (expansion, excess) takes place in Leo and Taurus, which are both known for their expensive tastes.

Wednesday, May 24. The transiting Moon enters Leo at 9:34 AM, and while this sign is known for its fun-loving energy, the Moon's immediate opposition to Pluto warns that the day could start off on an emotionally intense note or in an extreme case, a power struggle. Fortunately, by the time the afternoon rolls around this influence is long gone, and a playful, upbeat energy rules the rest of the day .

Thursday, May 25. There's a cheerful vibe today as the transiting Leo Moon promotes vitality, enthusiasm and joie de vivre. This is a good day for creative projects, after-work get-togethers, romantic adventures and pursuits that give you pleasure and make you feel alive.

Friday, May 26. With a Void Moon from 2:39 AM - 11:06 PM, it's best to stick to routine manners and activities that don't require a specific outcome or definite result. That said, there's no reason why you can't enjoy today's cosmic harmony between Venus and Uranus, which invites you to try something different, meet someone new or simply change up your routine.

Saturday, May 27. Whether it's running errands, cleaning your home or catching up on work, you can count on today's Virgo Moon to support your efforts. If you feel a dip in your energy shortly before noon, it's just a passing influence from the transiting Moon's opposition to Saturn that will be history by 1 PM. Since today's lunar energy also puts a spotlight on pets, this is a good day to give your furkids extra attention and show them some love by grooming, exercising, playing or cuddling with them.

Sunday, May 28. As the week comes to a close, the Sun-Saturn square comes along to remind us of our limitations. Depending upon you current circumstances, this could be a demoralizing influence that puts a damper on your mood. If so, it's important to understand its purpose is to show you where you need to make necessary changes in order to succeed.

To that end, tap into the energy of the discerning transiting Virgo Moon to help you identify any flaws that need to be corrected. Not only can this Moon help you clarify what needs to be done, but its fortunate aspects today to Uranus and Venus can help you find innovative solutions that will help you feel much better about yourself by the time the day draws to a close.

Question: If Jupiter is transiting my 9th house in Taurus will it still focus on 2nd house matters of money? I never quite understood how this works.

The answer is yes, because while Jupiter is in Taurus, everyone experiences its focus on 2nd house matters on a collective level. For instance, an increase (Jupiter) in the cost of goods (second house) affects us all because we pay more for our purchases.

However, we also experience its 2nd house focus according to the house it's visiting in our horoscope, but unless it's in one of the financial houses (2nd or 8th) it's influence is subtle and tends to be overlooked.

Since Jupiter's role is to expand what it touches, while it's in your 9th house you can expect it to expand one or more of the life areas ruled by that house. In this case, it could be education and higher knowledge, beliefs, religion, legal matters, sales, marketing or long-distance travel.

As for the 2nd house money influence, opportunities to increase your knowledge, attend a spiritual retreat or embark on long-distance travel usually come with a price tag. Alternatively, an opportunity could arise that brings you money, such as a job in education or law or income from monetizing a podcast or other media.

Another way you can experience Jupiter's current 2nd house focus through your 9th house isn't financial but rather through the traits associated with its sign.

For instance, Taurus is grounded, industrious and determined. If you're engaged in a course of study while Jupiter is in your 9th house, a practical, diligent and conscientious (Taurus) approach will bring success (Jupiter).

Lastly, Taurus is a value-driven sign, so while Jupiter is in your 9th house its expansive energy shouldn't be wasted on things that aren't important. Instead, you want to work with the energy and focus it on something that is of value to you.

For the Rest of You

For those of you who are interested in applying this to your own Jupiter in Taurus house transit, below is the Jupiter in Taurus by House list, followed by a summary of the major points that you need to consider.

Keep in mind that while some life areas will make immediate sense in terms of money, others will make sense in terms of the sign's traits.

For example, in my personal horoscope transiting Jupiter in Aries was in my 12th house. Since Aries is a self-starter, this influence motivated me to take action to expand my intuitive gifts and healing abilities (12th house) through self-study, meditation, daily practice and solitude.

When Jupiter changed signs, it didn't change houses in my chart. However, its change of sign changed its influence in that house.

As it happens, I am about to take a sabbatical (12th house, expanding solitude) from astrology readings so I can focus my time and energy on courses and books and courses (tangible items) that will bring me passive (12th house) income (2nd house). Tapping into the Bull's diligence, determination, dedication and industriousness (Taurus) will help me accomplish this goal (i.e., working with the energy)

Now it's your turn. Give it a try and have some fun with it!
