FULL MOON LUNAR ECLIPSE AT 20°00 CANCER
January 10, 2020 | 2:21 PM EST
Washington, DC

There's no getting around it. The energy of this month's lunar eclipse is emotionally oppressive because of the heavy influence from Saturn and Pluto.

Individually, Saturn's influence to the moon brings a sobering reality, while Pluto adds a sense of foreboding and paranoia. Together, this combination of energy represents a blockage that triggers emotional frustration.

If you feel like you're at a standstill in your life or that you've been staring at that crossroad for a very long time, you can expect this eclipse to help break the log jam.

Like all full moons, it's purpose is to bring something to light and/or to a conclusion even if it means having to force the issue. Although it may not be comfortable, there's a silver lining on the horizon.

Just hours after the eclipse, transiting Uranus will station direct (more on that below), and as it does, its liberating energy can help you move forward as well.
Getting Personal

This month's full moon at 20°00' degrees of Cancer is also a lunar eclipse, which means its energy is intensified and therefore longer lasting. Those of you with a planet, angle or house cusp at or near 20°00' of any sign will be on the receiving end of eclipse energy, but you're not likely to experience it as an event unless that planet, point or cusp is in Cancer, Capricorn, Aries or Libra.

As for the rest of you, the lunar eclipse will fall somewhere in your personal horoscope,
and something related to one (or more) of the life areas ruled by the house hosting it may come to light, to fruition or to an end.

Since a full moon falls across two houses, it's important to consider the life areas of the house that holds the sun as well. However, this month it's more important than usual to consider the opposite house because that's the one holding Saturn and Pluto, and those are the life areas that may be responsible for some of the pressure you're feeling at this time.

If you don't know which house holds 20°00' Cancer in your horoscope, you can refer to the list below to find out where the lunar eclipse falls in your solar (sun-sign based) chart).

If your Sun Sign is:

Aries, it falls in your 4th house (home, family, real estate, parents). Read the 10th house as well.
Taurus, it falls in your solar 3rd house (siblings, neighbors, short trips, cars, contracts, negotiations.). Read the 9th house as well.
Gemini, it falls in your 2nd house (income, spending, personal values, self-esteem, tangible assets). Read the 8th house as well.
Cancer, it falls in your 1st house (your physical body, attitude towards life). Read the 7th house as well.
Leo, it falls in your 12th house (spirituality, creativity, mental health, addictions). Read the 6th house as well.
Virgo, it falls in your 11th house (groups, associations, hopes, casual friends, colleagues). Read the 5th house as well.
Libra, it falls in your 10th house (career, fame, status, reputation). Read the 4th house as well.
Scorpio, it falls in your 9th house (education, law, religion, foreign and long-distance travel, publishing). Read the 3rd house as well.
Sagittarius, it falls in your 8th house (intimacy, shared resources, other people's support, birth, death, estate matters). Read the 2nd house as well.
Capricorn, it falls in your 7th house (marriage and all one-to-one relationships including best friends, adversaries, business partners and clients). Read the 1st house as well.
Aquarius, it falls in your 6th house (health, work, pets, diet, nutrition). Read the 12th house as well.
Pisces, it falls in your 5th house (romance, children, creative self-expression, entertainment). Read the 11th house as well.

Releasing with the Cancer Lunar Eclipse

You can release anything under any full moon, but since this a lunar eclipse it's energy is more potent than usual. Saturated in Cancer energy, it's especially helpful for releasing:

Negative beliefs or fears connected to emotional and financial security, family members, establishing a home, finding your tribe, nurturing, and intuitive gifts,

Traits or tendencies to be moody, stingy, clingy, needy, manipulative, fearful, procrastinating, thin-skinned.

URANUS STATIONS DIRECT
January 10, 2020 | 8:48 PM EST

After backpedaling in the sign of the Bull since August 11, 2019, Uranus stations direct at 2° Taurus just hours after the Cancer lunar eclipse.

During the past 5 months, some of you experienced turmoil in your life as you struggled to break through situations that were holding you back emotionally and/or financially.

For many of you, it was a struggle because it meant challenging the status quo in a relationship or taking a risk on a dream.

Now that Uranus is stationing direct, it's time to take action to create the life that's right for you. Whether it's a new career, a long-distance move or perhaps cutting ties with people you no longer feel aligned with, this energy will help you do so.

Occurring just hours after the lunar eclipse, this station comes at a perfect time because for many of you, this eclipse will coincide with a major decision that will involve letting something go, and Uranus will help you fill the void with something - or someone - that makes you feel truly alive.
SATURN-PLUTO CONJUNCTION
January 12, 2020 | 11:22 AM EST

The Saturn-Pluto cycle is very significant on the mundane level and depending upon your horoscope, it can be very important on a personal one.

For those of you who are interested in its influence on a global level, you can find many articles written about it by doing a simple Google search.

But for now, let's get personal.

The Saturn-Pluto conjunction will be quite noteworthy to you if it's applying a hard aspect to a planet or a sensitive point in your chart, or if this planetary duo is entering a new house in your horoscope for the first time.

If it's not the first hit or ingress, then you've already been experiencing these energies, and if there was a related event it's already made itself known.

And no, it didn't have to be dramatic. Sometimes it's just a change of consciousness.

Odds are also high that if you experience an event around this time it's not so much due to the Saturn-Pluto conjunction but triggered by the Cancer lunar eclipse which is heavily influenced by these planetary heavyweights.

To be clear, it's not my intention to minimize the potential influence of the Saturn-Pluto conjunction. However, it is my intention to steer clear of stirring up unnecessary fears with "the sky is falling" rhetoric.

The way we react to events and situations plays a huge role in how we experience them. If this cycle brings a period of testing or trial, then yes, that's the path you're meant to walk at this time.

However, we can do ourselves a favor and make it easier by staying calm and focused as we remind ourselves that this too shall pass.
TRANSITING VENUS IN PISCES
Jan. 13 - Feb. 7, 2020

Although the airy side of Venus reveled in her independence and enjoyed the new experiences she encountered while in Aquarius, her earthy side eventually found it’s detached, impersonal nature too cool for comfort.

Longing to be cradled in a sea of emotional warmth, she bid the Water Bearer farewell and dove headlong into the waters of the sentimental, soothing sign of her exaltation: Pisces. >> Read More.
TRANSITING MERCURY IN AQUARIUS
Jan. 16 - Feb. 3, 2020

After spending several weeks in Capricorn’s orderly, practical and status-conscious 10th house, Mercury was ready to bid farewell to the Seagoat.

Eager for a change of pace, he headed straight into Aquarius where he could think outside the box, color outside the lines and experience the joys of life as a non-conformist.

Aquarius is the sign of Mercury’s exaltation, which means that whenever the planet of intellect is dressed in the water bearer’s flowing robes, his virtues are magnified and he displays his abilities in a profound and distinctive manner.

Likewise, during this time you may feel inspired to push your intellectual boundaries and discover – or rediscover – our own unique brilliance. Since the water bearer is also the ruler of humanitarian and revolutionary causes, some of you may become involved in a humanitarian effort or a sociopolitical cause.

Above all, Mercury in Aquarius can help open your mind, liberate your thoughts and grant you a clear vision of a better tomorrow.

Closing Thoughts

Until next time,

May Jupiter's blessings be your constant companion,

Debra Anne Clement
