Dear Stargazers,

All of the Uranus Story readings are finally finished (I think this was the biggest response yet - thank you!)  However, if for some reason, you didn't receive the email and/or the recording itself (like maybe because Mercury is retrograde) let me know, and I'll resend it to you at my first opportunity.

Speaking of Mercury retrograde, on August 18 (that's 12:25 AM on August 19 if you're on the East Coast)  Mercury stations direct. However, it'll be in the post-retrograde shadow through September 2 and not operating at its full capacity. Just like someone getting back to work after being sidelined with the flu, Mercury is still feeling the influence of the retrograde energy, so some of you may continue to experience its effects as well.

Of course, the big news is the solar eclipse in Leo on August 11, which is the third eclipse of this summer and the final eclipse in 2018. If you have planets or sensitive points in Leo, Aquarius, Taurus or Scorpio, you're more likely to experience an eclipse-related event.

However, the eclipse will land somewhere in everyone's chart, so scroll on down to find out which life areas it will activate in your horoscope - more on that below!

BEST DAYS

While there are other days during this time frame that are fine, these are the best of the bunch. What do I mean by the best? The energy is flowing, the moon isn't void and there's a greater likelihood for happy and/or productive outcomes. *However, with both Mercury and Mars retrograde, even the "best days" aren't ideal.

August 12, 14,17

BEST AVOIDED

The energies on these days aren't favorable for new ventures or any activity where you want or need a definite result. If you must schedule something, you may have to think on your feet, or there may be a need for patience or flexibility.

August 7, 9

NOTABLE ASPECTS

For guidance about these aspects, visit Facebook or Twitter the day before the aspect. Why the day before? Because that's when the energy starts building and the influence starts making itself known. Once the aspect is exact, the energy is released and the influence fades.

Aug. 06: Suns square Jupiter
Aug. 07: Venus trine Mars
Aug. 08: Sun conjunct Mercury

Aug. 09: Venus square Saturn
Aug. 11: Mercury square Jupiter
Aug. 18: Mercury sextile Venus
Aug. 19: Jupiter trine Neptune
TRANSITING VENUS ENTERS LIBRA

Although she does enjoy being a social butterfly, Venus in Libra craves one-to-one relationships and is more comfortable, confident and productive when she has a partner. This isn’t because she can’t go it alone; Libra is a cardinal sign with proven leadership ability. It’s just that as the mistress of the 7th house of relationships, she’s motivated to engage in all types of unions; and as the planet of love, she’s partial to romance. >>Read More.
TRANSITING URANUS STATIONS RETROGRADE
August 7 - November 5 (Taurus)
November 6 - January 7 (Aries)
March 6: Uranus enters Taurus

During the brief period that Uranus is in Taurus, it offers a sneak peak as to what we can expect when it moves into this sign next year. On August 7, it will station retrograde and like all retrograde cycles, the energy is best used introspectively.

However, this particular retrograde cycle is a significant one because it's the last time that Uranus (urge for freedom) will be backpedaling in Aries (I Am). On January 7, it will station direct and continue going forward into Taurus without so much as a backwards glance.

Uranus in Aries: The Last Hurrah

Like all retrograde cycles, the energy is best used introspectively, and while Uranus is retrograde in Aries from November 6 - January 7, it's offering us one last opportunity to decide what freedom, independence and self-determination mean to us on both the individual (Aries) and collective (Uranus) levels.

Why is this so important? Because during the years that Uranus is in Taurus (values), we're going to have to take a stand on these issues.
NEW MOON SOLAR ECLIPSE at 18°42' LEO
August 11, 2018 | 5:58 AM
Washington, DC

The new moon solar eclipse in Leo is a partial eclipse, and like all new moons, it speaks to initiation. However, since it's an eclipse, it may come about in an unexpected or surprising way, AND since Mercury is still retrograde at this time (along with Mars), new beginnings may be delayed.

Although a solar eclipse is associated with beginnings, it's not unusual for it to coincide with an ending. If there are circumstances that need to be eliminated in order for this new beginning to take root, you can count on the solar eclipse to clear them away.

Getting Personal

So which life areas are being targeted for a new beginning in your life? If you don't know which house holds 18°42' Leo in your horoscope, you can refer to the list below to find out where this new moon solar eclipse falls in your solar (sun-sign based) chart).

Manifesting with the Leo Solar Eclipse

You can set any intention under any new moon, but when it's charged with eclipse energy, it's especially powerful. Since this eclipse is in Leo, it especially favors:

Actions and affirmations to attract new romances or improve existing ones, support pregnancy, childbirth, sporting events, gambling, enhance creativity, promote the performing arts, hobbies, interests and other recreational activities or invite opportunities for parties, entertainment and other social events.

Just remember that since Mercury and Mars are both retrograde, your new beginnings may take longer to sprout.

Closing Thoughts

I've never had a problem disconnecting from my smartphone, but I have to admit there are times when I find myself looking at it too much.
I recently came across an article that changed my relationship with it for the better. In short, I went gray and I'm loving it.

If you want your smartphone to be less of a distraction (for yourself or your children), click here. (And you're welcome!)

Until next time,

May Jupiter's blessings be your constant companion,
