Since all of planets are in direct motion until April 10, the first 9 days of the month are more favorable than usual to push projects forward. As an added bonus, the April 5 Aries new moon is all about going after what you want (more about that below!).
However, the moon is void virtually all day (EDT) on April 3 and April 8. Since that energy doesn't support definite results, use those days for prep work rather than negotiation or promotion. |

Of all the new moons, this one is the most powerful for new beginnings because it's infused with the assertive, ambitious and resourceful energy of the Ram. Aries represents the individual, and this new moon is meant to encourage you to initiate actions that further your own interests.
That's right; you're getting a cosmic green light to put yourself first, toot your own horn and initiate some type of new beginning.
It doesn't need to be big. It just needs to be a step in a direction that's meaningful to you. And the energy of this new moon can help you do it, because it's squaring Saturn and Pluto while making a trine to Jupiter.
You see, squares are action-producing aspects, and while they have a well-deserved reputation for being challenging, they're highly underrated when it comes to their role in promoting success.
Think about it. If you never take any action, you're not going to accomplish anything.
Instead of fearing squares, look at them as action-producing aspects that you can use (free will!) to your advantage.
In this case, we have an Aries new moon that's dying to blaze a new path, and it's provoking Saturn and Pluto to action while simultaneously making a trine (harmony, flow) to Jupiter.
The trine says we need to embrace opportunities and have faith (Jupiter), and those squares say we need to roll up our sleeves and get to work.
We need to have ambition, and we need to persevere (Saturn). We need to be devoted, and we need to be disciplined (Pluto).

JUPITER STATIONS RETROGRADE April 10, 2019 | 1:00 PM EDT
Approximately every 13 months, Jupiter goes retrograde for about four months during which time it's energy is turned inward.
Once Jupiter stations retrograde on April 10, it will continue to backpedal until it stations direct at 14°30' Sagittarius on August 11.
The purpose of this particular retrograde cycle is to encourage us to reconsider how much faith we really have in our religious, spiritual, philosophical, philanthropical and ethical beliefs. Since Jupiter is about higher knowledge, this influence supports seeking information and asking questions that can lead us to meaningful ideologies that resonate with our personal truth.
If we discover that we're no longer aligned with a belief system, this is the time to release it. If we discover that we're rock solid in our beliefs, then this is the time to consider whether we truly walk the walk or simply talk the talk. If the latter, it's time to question our beliefs.
Besides belief systems, Jupiter's retrograde cycle prompts us to reevaluate how we define success, abundance, growth and prosperity. Do we define them solely the way we were taught by our family, society, friends or colleagues or do we define them on our own terms?
Jupiter retrograde cycles can be a very productive period for determining one's inner truth, and that truth will be the key to greater freedom when Jupiter goes direct.
