Quick note to our alumni:
• A small team of us will be deploying to Durant, Mississippi Monday morning, May 29th and staying until Wednesday night to assist Samaritans Purse in finishing up some tornado cleanup. If you are interested in joining us you can sign up as an overnight guest through the SP website. All overnight guests are required to have a background check done so begin the paperwork now. The process goes pretty quick but still good to get a jump on it. It would be great to have a few guys join us for this. Call me if you have any questions.
• A local Christian camp just west of us is looking for some summer help to assist with various outdoor activities i.e. ropes courses, etc. Pay is $250 a week and includes meals and lodging. I know this won’t enable any of you to retire early, but if your summer plans are pretty open and you're looking to pocket a few shekels let me know and I’ll put you in contact with the director.
• I’m seriously looking at trying to set up some regional weekend reunion retreats for our alumni with some great fellowship, meals and a video series on moral freedom that will resonate with all. I’m tentatively looking at the first one being in mid-October in central Wisconsin at our cottage on Green Lake. It’s about 1.5 hours northwest of Milwaukee. If this is something you definitely want to be on the contact list for please respond to me and I’ll keep you updated. Space is limited on this one but we’ll do our best to accommodate. Cost will be very affordable.
If you think you’d like to host a regional reunion in your area and have a location/facility in mind let me know and we can begin to put some plans together for that as well. I’m looking at a Friday night through Sunday noon schedule with costs being minimal i.e. just enough to cover the food and a lodging.
