Subject: ALERT Alumni | April Update

Greetings to our Alumni:

We are now well into our spring semester and wanted to bring you up to speed on what’s been h
appening with ALERT.
  • We just updated our ALERT promotional video! We are extremely pleased with the message it communicates and trust you’ll find it impactful as well. Check it out at alertmen.org/about when you get a chance – and encourage other guys and potential recruits to view it as well.
  • Last Saturday night through early Sunday morning the battalion assisted Canton, Texas emergency crews with sawyer work and the clearing of roads following destruction from a number of tornadoes that passed through the rural part of the community. Pray for the families affected by this storm. As of today it was reported that five people lost their lives.
  • Please pray for the Reddecopp family. Alexander Reddecopp’s (Unit 55) father passed away suddenly while they were attending a conference here. Alexander is the oldest of twelve children in his family and will certainly need prayers and encouragement as he takes on added responsibility in his family.
  • We’re working at revising our ALERT brochure in hopes of keeping the information current. We plan to have that done in the next few weeks. If you’d like some to hand out please let us know and we’ll drop them in the mail. Former ALERT guys continue to be our best recruiters and we appreciate your help in this matter.
  • Pray for a family in Arkansas that lost two young children in a flash flood. Our Tech Rescue unit is on their way up there as I write to assist with finding the body of the second child.
  • Other upcoming events include Unit 57 advancement on May 26th, a trip to Miami for our dive unit, ongoing Tech Rescue classes, clinicals for our EMTs and the graduation of Units 55 & 56 on June 2nd.
Please continue to pray for ongoing direction as to future training. We need a lot of wisdom as to what direction we should go to stay current with our culture in addressing the true needs of young men and making sure we’re working in harmony with God’s solutions, not ours.

Thanks for your friendship and the opportunity to connect. Drop me a line sometime and let me know what’s going on in your life and how we can pray for you.

God’s blessings on you all…
