Title Fraud: transferring the ownership of property with out permission. Improperly taking title of a property.

Our online identity goes beyond our most recent Facebook post or favorite Instagram account. Our online identity consists of search histories, transactions, login credentials, medical information, birthdays, contacts, and even the apps we download to our phones. When our online identity is compromised our first concern is credit card fraud, but can a compromised identity impact our status as a homeowner?

However, a simple google search on the words "title fraud," will show you how polarizing the topic can be. This sparks the question, who is the real scam artist? The fraudster or the fraud protector? What do you think?

We encourage you to look into this on your own and to make smart, safe choices with your online identity.
