Green while you clean!

Using "clean" cleaning products is one of the easiest ways to eliminate toxins from entering your home. That doesn't mean you have to break the bank or special order your cleaning products. Making your own detergents, disinfectants, scrubs, and soaps is as easy as following a recipe. Check out Keeper of the Home's, Ultimate Guide to Homemade All-Natural Cleaning Recipes to get started!

Following a recipe just isn't your thing?

Luckily EcoWatch has done all the research for you!

Haven't read Silent Springs? You're in luck, you can check a copy out at the Rapid City Public Library.

Pesky Pesticides!

The most effective way of handling those pesky weeds is with good old fashioned manual labor. If you're like ReStore—with an endless supply of summer volunteers—keeping things green while staying green is easy. If not, the temptation to reach for the pesticides is real. Don't! Silent Springs was published in 1962, and revealed many of the negative impacts of pesticides on the environment. So before you reach for the Round-Up, check out these tips from Lawn Love.
