Marie has always wanted a home of her own to fill with memories and joy as she raises her son Joshua. While working multiple jobs and attending school, Marie has completed her 250 hours of sweat equity and is ready to purchase her home and move in! | |

Val and her husband Eric achieved their goal of homeownership in 2018 through the Habitat for Humanity program. That same year Val receive the 40 under 40 award through Prairie Business Magazine and went on to become a Bush Fellow in 2020. In 2021 Val completed her PhD in higher education and currently works as the Diversity and Outreach Coordinator at South Dakota State University. Val believes that equitable education can heal and demonstrates this through her community engagement and volunteer efforts. |

Dr. Sandra Ogunremi oversees Spiritual Care Services, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for Monument Health and volunteers as Black Hills Area Habitat for Humanity's Board President. As Board President, Dr. Ogunremi propels the organization forward through her dedication to the mission, collaborative efforts, and strong decision-making. We are blessed by her leadership and commitment to this community. |
