The Lighthouse Law Club
A common interest of many of our new and existing members is to meet with others in their local area. This request comes up frequently. This would include not only other existing LLC members, but also would attract potentially thousands from the local community who share common interests (and fears).
You know how the courts work like a machine day in and day out. You think it'd be difficult to find people who are tired of getting screwed and tattooed and are looking for answers and someone to work with? I guarantee, you put an ad in the local paper and it won't take long for word to get out and your meeting will fill up fast!
The benefits would be many and various; i.e. share resources, ideas, experiences, collaborate on projects, get involved in local civics and government, form coalitions for advancing local initiatives and just as important, create local support networks. For LLC affiliates it would create wonderful opportunities to expand the influence of the law club, attract new referred members, create political clout to have voices heard and put bad actors back in their box, and the list goes on. And this is all making a positive contribution to our world and the people in your community.
We've created a template to be used with Meetup.com so that each of our chapters will be instantly recognizable, operate on a standard platform and be representative of The Lighthouse Law Club, which means that those who want to do this, will always exhibit a level of professionalism, high standards as required by LLC, and commitment to follow through and make this work at the local level understanding that it may take a little while for this to gain traction depending on what you do and where you live.
Friend . I'd like to ask you to personally consider starting up a Meetup group in your local area.
Here's what it'll take:
- $10 to register the group. We'll provide the info which we'd like to standardize between all of our chapters. Then you just customize it for your local needs.
- You'll need a meeting place. Restaurants often have a private meeting room they'll provide for free if you have so many guests to come and order something.
- I suggest a nominal budget to do a little local advertising or networking with other like minded groups. If you're an LLC affiliate you'll more than make that back with new referred members. We'll help you with that.
- Set a time, place and frequency of meetings which you can commit to. You or someone you're working with needs to be there every meeting with a topic of discussion, i.e. an agenda to carry off a well organized, fun, interesting and productive meeting. I suggest some handouts with good information pertaining to the subject matter and links to 'get more information' for attendees to take home with them.
The key objectives;
- Have fun, make new friends, expand your personal network and local influence.
- Educate people who need it and have an impact on their lives.
- Create a core group which will grow and have a positive effect on the local community
- Develop your own leadership skills
- Promote the Law Club and make money referring new members as a natural and unavoidable 'side effect'!
Friend , I think this could be a real opportunity for you to put the LLC to work in your life for the better and everyone comes out win-win-win. Do you agree?
