ADFF:NY starts today! Our opening night screening of Modernism, Inc. is sold out but there are still tickets for Saturday's screening. The double feature of Soviet Bus Stops and Emotional Architecture 1959 is also sold out. We've added a third screening of TerraForma on Sunday, October 15. Get tickets online or at the door!

Tickets for ADFF:Toronto are now on sale! The opening Night film is the Canadian premiere of Modernism, Inc., which will be followed by the now famous afterparty hosted by Eventscape. This year, the party will take place at one of Toronto's hottest new clubs, Paris Texas.

Opening Night Film

Architect Eliot Noyes is a transitional figure in the history of American design. Educated by Walter Gropius at Harvard, Noyes brings a modernist approach to corporate America. His impact on companies like IBM and Mobil paved the way for Apple and many of the other design-conscious brands we know today.

This year, we will close ADFF:Toronto with the Canadian Premiere of We Start With the Things We Find. There will be two screenings, both of which will be followed by Q&As with LOT-EK Architects Ada Tolla and Giuseppe Lignano and Director Tom Piper. The Q&As will be moderated by the one and only Gary Hustwit.

LOT-EK, the visionary and beloved architecture studio of Ada Tolla and Giuseppe Lignano, has reimagined the shipping container for over 30 years. This structure and other detritus of our industrialized economy have become the materials for unique architectural and artistic spaces. Through creative pursuit, LOT-EK has become a prophet of adaptive reuse, ecological construction, and unexpected beauty. We Start With the Things We Find investigates the studio’s provocative practice as a prescription for the ills of our consumptive society.

Tickets for ADFF:Vancouver are on sale now! The opening night film screening and party will take place at the Hollywood Theatre. The film will be the Vancouver premiere of We Start With the Things We Find. After the screening, LOT-EK Architects Ada Tolla and Giuseppe Lignano and Director Tom Piper will answer audience questions.
