Subject: Final Festivals of the Season

January 21, 2026

Humanity in Architecture is our annual festival at the beautiful Grace Farms in New Canaan, CT. It is unique in our festival schedule as we draw from all past ADFF festivals to curate a selection of films around a theme. This year, we've adopted Grace Farms' 10th anniversary theme—We All Build. Our 11 films revolve around the individual and collective power we have to build a better world.

The festival takes place all day Saturday with a special screening the night before. We encourage you to come for the day to enjoy the spirit of Grace Farms through nature hikes, delicious food, tea, yoga, and a design talk with James and Hayes Slade.

Below are just a few highlights from Humanity in Architecture, January 30-31 at Grace Farms. Click here to get tickets for any of the films.

Lewerentz Divine Darkness

The Swedish modernist Sigurd Lewerentz is not a household name, but he should be. Though his work is on par with that of his contemporaries like Alvar Aalto and Gunnar Asplund, Lewerentz was uninterested in publicity. Instead, he focused his energies on his creative practice. Following the screening, director Sven Blume will be in from Sweden for a Q&A.

Changing Lanes

2025 / 73 min / US

This film is about more than bike lanes—it's about being active in building the community you want. Changing Lanes tells a story that's important to remember, especially for those of us who are troubled by the actions of our government. After the film, director Ben Wolf will answer audience questions.
