Subject: E.1027 opens this week at IFC film center

May 13, 2025

One of the questions we hear most often is: “Where can we see the films if we missed the festival?” The truth is, outside of ADFF, opportunities to see these films on the big screen are few and far between. Being selected for our festival is already a major accomplishment—only a small number of films make it in from the hundreds submitted each year. But for a film to go on and secure a theatrical release, that’s something truly rare. Which is why we’re thrilled to share some exciting news: two remarkable films from our 2024/25 season are headed to theaters this year.

  • E.1027: Eileen Gray and the House by the Sea

  • Ada – My Mother the Architect

These films are the sweet spot for ADFF programming: films with compelling human stories and visionary design. We are proud that they are getting theatrical releases to a wider audience. We hope more cities will pick up these films.
