The second ADFF:ONLINE session will take place April 17-28 and is all about Meis van der Rohe. You'll be able to stream The Mies van der Rohes, a selection from this year's festival which tells the story of Mies' personal life through the eyes of his eldest daughter Georgia. We are offering another film focuseing on Mies' architecture, Regular or Super, Views on Mies van der Rohe. This is the 20th anniversary of the film. The title references both Mies' gas station design in Montreal and his entire body of work. This excellent film by Montreal filmmaker Joseph Hillel stands the test of time. In 2019, Hillel's film City Dreamers opened ADFF:NY.

ADFF Alumni News

ADFF Alum Virpi Suutari (Aalto: Architect of Emotions, ADFF 2020) premiered her new film, Once Upon a Time in a Forest, at the prestigious CPH:DOX in Copenhagen.

Her new film follows two young activists as they fight to save the vast Finnish forests. The film is both an ode to nature, the wonders of Finnish old-growth coniferous forests and woodland animals, and to the passionate youth fighting to protect them. It was one of 12 films nominated for a Dox:Award at the festival.
