Most films will only be available to stream in the US and Canada, but The Genius of the Place: The Life and Work of Geoffrey Bawa is available worldwide. The Promise: Architect B.V. Kyle Bergman and Afdhel Aziz

Your virtual ticket to The Genius of the Place includes a Q&A with the director, recorded at the US premiere in New York in September 2023. This is your opportunity to hear directly from director Afdhel Aziz about making the film and his personal connection to the work.

Special Screening in Mumbai

ADFF Alumni News

Francesca Molteni

ADFF has screened many films by the prolific filmmaker Francesca Molteni (Amare Gio Ponti, Superdesign, The Power of the Archive, Where Architects Live). Her new film Green Over Gray: Emilio Ambasz just had its world premiere at the Milan Design Film Festival. The film, directed by Molteni and Mattia Colombo, explores the green architecture revolution through the seminal projects of Emilio Ambasz. Green Over Gray will have its Canada premiere in Montreal at the International Festival of Films on Art. We are thrilled to present its US premiere at ADFF:NY in September.

ADFF Alum Fred Schmidt-Arenales (Committee of Six) has a solo show, IT IS A GOOD PROJECT AND SHOULD BE BUILT, screening in New York at the Storefront for Art and Architecture March 13 - June 1. The project contemplates human attempts to engineer nature into submission under the guise of resiliency and at the cost of huge ecological detriment. The three-channel video installation at Storefront will eventually be developed into a feature-length film.
