Announcing ADFF:2020
In response to the continued uncertainty surrounding Covid-19, and for the safety of its audiences, we've decided to change the format for our fall events.

This year, ADFF's 12th season will take place entirely online during a two-week period from November 19 - December 3. We’re proud to have Eventscape as our presenting sponsor.

The structure of ADFF 2020 is designed to fit the unique society wide adjustments that we are collectively  experiencing. This new online format will make ADFF available  to anyone in the US or Canada — anytime during the two-week festival. We expect to have more people participating in ADFF:2020 than the entire last season of festivals.

As always, ADFF will curate a selection of films that celebrate the creative spirit behind architecture and design. The film programs will include special introductions by well-known industry leaders, and Q&As with the film’s director and others following each screening. With more than 16 film programs planned, there’s sure to be something for everyone.

The full program of films for ADFF:2020 will be be announced mid-September.

Film submission deadline: Aug. 7th
ADFF has already received many great films that are being considered for this year’s lineup, and we’re still accepting submissions until August 7.

With the understanding that deep-rooted social injustices continue to plague our society, particularly related to race and gender, the festival is strongly encouraging filmmakers to submit films that connect issues of social justice with architecture and design. ADFF will waive the submission fees for films that fit into this category. More information about submitting a film can be found at adfilmfest.com

ADFF:ONLINE Spring Recap
When we launched ADFF:ONLINE in the spring, it drew thousands of visitors to their home screens for multi-day, live events in April and May. In June, ADFF also enjoyed a dynamic partnership with NeoCon, offering up four days of programming as part of the virtual NeoConnect experience, and touched thousands of design lovers seeking inspiring films.

This was our initial adventure to bring ADFF programing directly to your home. We gained a great amount of knowledge from this new experience which is proving helpful in creating our full online festival for this fall’s season. We would like to thank our spring sponsors: Eventscape, Neezo Studios, Suite NY, Teknion, American Institute of Architects, National Building Museum and NeoCon.
