Subject: ACMS Annual Meeting Next Week in Philadelphia

Dear ACMS members, partners, and friends,

This is a reminder that your presence is requested as we celebrate our 12th annual meeting and the 10th anniversary of our Ulaanbaatar office with a reception, cultural program, and poster session next Friday, March 28th from 7:30-9:30pm.  The location is the Philadelphia Downtown Marriott. Beware! There are two different Marriott hotels near each other.  Our's is the "Downtown" Marriott located at 1201 Market St. (not the "Courtyard").  Our room is the Grand Ballroom Salon L (5th floor). All events below will be in this room.

Our meeting is held in conjunction with the Association of Asian Studies (AAS) annual conference, but the ACMS reception and cultural program are free and open to all interested parties--you don't have to be registered for AAS to take part in our gathering.

Schedule of events:

Reception, Poster Session, Cultural Program: 7:30-9:30pm

Mongolian food, organized with the help of the Mongolian Cultural Center (MCC) of Washington, D.C. will be available to sample during the reception.  In addition, a diverse group of poster displays will also be presented during the reception by researchers highlighting their current projects in Mongolia, and by promoters of Mongolian culture on historical and cultural topics.

Cultural program update: We are very pleased to announce that among the cultural program organized with our friends at MCC will be the singer Saran Erdenebat, a Mongolian national treasure with the title of 'Best Worker of Culture'.
