Everybody is on social media.
Your target audience and prospects spend tons of time there.
So it only makes sense to promote for your blog on social media, right?
But how do you spread the word about your blog on social sites.
Well, the main thing to remember is that social media sites are primarily "social."
So you can't just blast information and links.
That gets you nowhere.
Makes you annoying.
Drives people away.
Instead, get more social.
Talk about trending topics - and I do NOT mean politics and religion :)
Talk inspiration like good quotes.
Ask questions about your industry.
If you're a yoga blogger, say something like "who has a good sunrise yoga exercise".. gets people in your crowd chatting.
From time to time, you could offer a link to your blog.
Something like, "My favorite sunrise exercise is ..." then link to your blog describing it.
You see, be part of a social conversation, not just some lame spammer.
Then there are "social" methods you can use that are less traditional...
Do some guest posting to hit a new crowd of people on other people’s blogs.
Don't just write on your topic, give some insight into who YOU are (the social component of your article).
Weave it into your info article so it seems natural.
Also, go to forums and Q&A sites like Quora.
Answer questions people in your niche may have.
Eventually they will want to get in touch with you because you have conquered their know like and trust in you.
All these things give you an opportunity to link back to your blog.
So do it :)
