Subject: Join us - New Remembering webinar

Hi Friend,

It's been nearly a year since you signed up for the ReMembering webinar that we offered last May.

I loved that webinar so much. It was rich.  Hearing previous students' strong testimonials about how moving the course was for them still brings a smile to my face.

And I did not end up starting that course - or any ReMembering course that year.  Mostly it was because I didn't get enough strong interest from enough potential participants. I think it was also because I was busy with other things; new courses, and new possibilities. I really love creating new content and courses, so it is easy to get involved in the work that always entails.  And then, over the summer, I fell and broke my wrist, which required surgery, and a long healing process.  Almost everything was put on pause.

Healing can take a long time. Even now, roughly 9 months later, I'm still not 100% 'healed'.

One of my teachers says, "it took 500 years to get us here. Why do we think it will take us less than 500 years to get out?"

Sometimes I love that perspective.

And sometimes I don't. We don't have 500 years, I grumble.

Looking at the news, the fires in New Mexico last summer, the strange winter here on the East coast, and the continued 'record-breaking xxx' (heat wave, winter storm, flooding), it's easy to see the urgency.  And then there are the intersections.  Can't we do this any faster?

I say I'm not 100% healed and that's partially true. But it is also, strangely, not.  I can't yet do the weight-bearing exercises (read: certain yoga positions) that used to come with ease.  But there are other physical-emotional things that came up in the healing process - things that seemed to have nothing to do with my broken wrist - that really, really needed my attention. And I was able to give them that attention. So I am, in many respects, actually healthier now than I was then. And my wrist is not fully "healed."

If we think of healing as a straight line, the way society thinks of "progress" and "development", then this makes no sense. But if we take the curved approach, the multidimensional approach, then it makes perfect sense.  We are multi-dimensional beings. Time is not entirely linear. Sometimes something needs to happen for something else to happen, and we don't always know what it is.

Cuz we are not in control. Agency, yes. Control, no.

I admit, it feels a bit vulnerable to offer another ReMembering Course. Not because of the course itself, but because of the effort of outreach. To extend an open hand. To say, look, here, is this amazing thing. And to do so in a way that there is no pressure to buy (because that never works, certainly not for me).  To make sure you know that it really is ok to say no. When I'm centered, I know that people saying no to me can be an incredibly powerful step for them in their journey.

And then there is the possibility of yes.  Yes: to ReMembering, and the unique social-ecological-historical-collective healing this offers. To illuminating worldviews. To uncoding in order to recode.  To hearing and working with echoes. To creating a space of deeper healing.

Every time I teach this course, I go deeper. It's one of the reasons I keep teaching it. Keep extending the offer.

That... and because of you. There's no point in me doing this (I actually can't!) without you.

You see... there is this field, and in this field, there is a river, and in this river, there is a boat. Sometimes it takes a while, once you see the field, to enter into it. That's ok. Together, we walk to the boat. I keep strengthening the boat, making sure it is the best it can me. And we enter the river together.   It is the river, and the boat, that carries us.

If you are interested in joining this journey of ReMembering, if this piques your interest, drop me a line. We are looking to start in early April.

For our collective, individual, ancestral, and so many forms of multi-dimensional healing.

ps - Yes, we have another webinar on March 21, 2023 - 6 pm to 7 pm EST, but you really don't have to attend it. Just ping me, and we can see if this is the right moment for you.

All the best,

Sara Jolena
