Subject: "How to Walk Close to God During Troubled Times" Session 1 Part B

Dear Friends,

This week our team heads out for the Seattle, Gathering of the Eagles (GOE). This GOE will be a short but powerful time of intercession. God commissioned us to take care of some critical issues before the end of the year, and as we gather together to pray, we do so in faith knowing He will meet us there and through Him, we will gain the victory!

2017 promises to bring forth a new anointing across this Nation. Prepare yourselves for this release my friends; you will not regret the time you invest in God's future! If you haven't heard the word released November 22nd, go to the Media Library on the WorldforJesus.org website and listen to it, allow God to minister to your spirit through the outpouring of His promises. Then, seek Him over the course of December that He might have His way within you for 2017!

If you are not able to attend the Seattle Gathering of the Eagles, consider joining our GOE Reserves. This strategic group of intercessors come together and pray for Mom, the work of the Gathering, the intercessors and so on. We've come to rely on them as they have provided an excellent covering during our Gatherings the last couple years.

We invite you to join them!

Schedule:
Thursday - Saturday:
10:30-Noon PST
7:30-9:00 PM PST

Call in: 712-770-4160
Access Code: 182152#

Please continue to keep our finances in your daily prayers.
Thank you for standing with us!

Blessings & love,
Ricci Wilson

“How To Walk Close To God During Troubled Times”

Session One

Part B

By Nita Johnson

NOLA Revival Services June, 2011

From last week…

Turn in your Bibles to Isaiah 61: 1-4

"THE SPIRIT of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed and qualified me to preach the Gospel of good tidings to the meek, the poor, and afflicted; He has sent me to bind up and heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the [physical and spiritual] captives and the opening of the prison and of the eyes to those who are bound. To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord [the year of His favor] and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn. To grant [consolation and joy] to those who mourn in Zion–to give them an ornament (a garland or diadem) of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, the garment [expressive] of praise instead of a heavy, burdened, and failing spirit–that they may be called oaks of righteousness [lofty, strong, and magnificent, distinguished for uprightness, justice, and right standing with God], the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified. And they shall rebuild the ancient ruins; they shall raise up the former desolations and renew the ruined cities, the devastations of many generations.

My heart is aching tonight. It's aching. It's longing for God to hear, for us to pray, and for God to hear. When it's the middle of the night, and your tiny the baby is in his crib running a terrible fever, and you are desperately trying to bring that fever down and calm your child. You sit there in that nursery attentively rocking this tiny crib back and forth, not sure how you're going to bring that fever down. Do you sit there and say, "I can't wait until I can become an intercessor so I can pray for my baby?" Is that what we say? Of course not! We immediately start praying that God will intervene!

Intercession isn't something that is meant to be entertainment. The cry of the heart of the intercessor is the cry of the Spirit of God. Not for our entertainment, but out of necessity.

Something my daughter once told me, "I love to hear so and so pray, because every time he prays, a spirit of travail comes upon me. I just love the way he prays." And I thought, "Prayer should be that contagious throughout the Church."

The Lord isn't calling the occult to arise and pray, is He? He has given us the awesome privilege to do what no one else in the world can, only His Church. When you get to heaven, I tell you the truth, the Lord is not going to look at you and squint His eyes and say, "Well, I was just wondering what happened to the spirit of intercession I sent to you? Did you ever avail yourself of it?" The person who is receiving the Lord's correction may stand there and say, "I didn't know there was such a thing. I thought just select people did that kind of prayer."

I imagine at this point He'd be furrowing His brow, "Come here. Come here. Come just a little bit closer," He'll squint His eyes again, and He ask, "What happened? I notice that My Spirit is in you, you didn't neglect that, but what happened? Why, when your nation was floundering, desperate, lost, not knowing how to find its way, why did you not pray?"

What are we going to say? "Well, ummmm, Lord, I think prayer is a good idea. I just really thought there were special people handpicked to be intercessors." Can you picture this conversation? "Where did you find that in My word? Where did you see that in the writings of My apostles, of My prophets?"

Quickly, you respond, "It must be in one of those books. Well, I don't think it states exactly that."

"Really? So, what does it say? Just help Me remember."

"Something about praying for the peace of Jordan or was that the Nineveh story? How about Jerusalem? Yes! Yes, that's it! Of course, that's it!" You declare, almost relieved.

"How about your city?"

"It says something about my city in the Bible, Lord?"

And you know, although His mercy is great and He does forgive, we will suffer the consequences of a Church that does not pray. No matter what He does and no matter how good it gets, I want you to know it could have been so much 'better' if we would have humbled ourselves and prayed. Now, how does that passage go?

If those who are called by the name of intercessors will humble themselves and pray - what else does that say? And turn from their wicked ways and seek My face, I will - you guys know that passage - that's the one He'll put up in front of us - and everyone will look at it and say, "Now, where is the word 'intercessor' here? It doesn't exist because it isn't about that, is it? Those who are wise and discerning know it's not about that. It's about what a merciful God we have, and that we better get on our knees while we can.

"Pray without ceasing." That is a great scripture; meant for all of His children. My heart is aching tonight, and I believe His heart is aching, too. Why? Because we don't pray, enough and God wants to awaken this in His children.

Jesus, the first thing we want to do is tell You that we are sorry, that we misunderstood Your Word, that we thought we were an exclusive group and that we didn't understand that everyone who calls himself by Your name is called to pray for Jerusalem, the nations of the earth and the very nation we live in, Lord. We were called. We were called. We were created for this purpose. Not some, but all.

I once knew a person who was in a wheelchair, and the Lord spoke to me about her life through a dream. I saw what was going to happen to her when she made it to Heaven. The Lord Jesus Christ was standing in front of her. He called her by name. He said, "What have you been doing these many long hours, day after day when you've had nothing else to do because you are in a wheelchair? What have you been doing?"

This person replied, "Well, I've been watching Christian television."

The Lord said, "Will you watching Christian television save your Nation?" She hung her head in silence, and the dream came to an end.

Then we have a lady whose last name is Joni Erickson Tada. She's laying in bed, a quadriplegic, but she has pneumonia. Do you know what she was doing? She was praying. We all will have to give an account someday for what we did, and we didn't do in the call to pray. So, I want to invite you tonight, to pray. What I would like you to do is repent that America has turned from God and then follow it with Isaiah 61:1-4.

[Prayer} Father, we thank You for all of Your great goodness. We thank You for Your heart. We thank You for Your mercy. We thank You for Your holiness. We thank You for Your glory. America has need of You, Lord. The Church has need of You, Lord. Oh, Lord, that we could only catch the vision of coming and breaking our hearts between the porch and the altar, Lord. You said that Your house would be called a house of prayer. If only we could catch the vision. Lord, You were not talking about the four walls of the building, You were talking about the house that You inhabit. This house, My house shall be called the house of prayer. We cannot do this without You. We know we cannot do this without You. Father, this area, this entire area, let Your Spirit fall, let Your Spirit fall, Lord, and bring the ministers in, Lord Jesus. Bring the ministers in. Bring the Church into the house of God for prayer, Lord, before it's too late. Raise up a standard, Lord. Get the sin out of Your Church, Father. In Your precious Name. Amen.

I would like to say one last thing before we close up for tonight. You guys did a great job. You sounded like it was 500 people here praying. You know, the Elite have said for as long as I can remember that they know that they have to get God out of America if they are going to destroy her. Now, isn't that amazing that the most ungodly men and women know that, but we don't? Is it possible that we are taking the grace and mercy of God for granted? If so, shouldn't our hearts be filled with the fear of God for doing such a thing? We must pray.

It's always beautiful to me to see someone pray. There's nothing more beautiful in the whole world than to see someone pray except maybe a little baby. Babies are beautiful, aren't they? Part of what makes them so beautiful is their innocence, and I think that's part of what makes someone who is a person of prayer beautiful - it is the innocence that develops from a life of prayer - humility, holiness, all things godliness. Amen.

We love you all! Thank you for standing with us, we bless you, in His glorious Name,

Nita Johnson
