January Whale Report - Looking Forward to 2026!
2025 was a great year for sightings, including this epic sea lion hunt!
We wrapped up our 40th season on December 31, 2025 — and, boy, was it a great one. We have crunched the numbers for the year and are pleased to report that on 99% of tours in 2025, we saw whales! Between our three locations — Edmonds, Port Townsend, and Port Angeles — we saw orcas, humpback whales, gray whales, and minke whales, with our hottest sighting months occurring in the summer. In addition to a plethora of whales, we also saw other marine-dwelling creatures, including puffins, sea lions, seals, otters, and porpoises.
All in all, it was another season for the books! We can’t wait to kick off our 41st season in February — keep scrolling for more info on upcoming tours.
We love to witness the wild and wonderful wildlife around us, like this horned puffin!
