Yesterday, I talked about why blogging is one of the best ways to build a prospect list.
Whether you're a marketer or an offline professional, you need to connect with new prospects.
So, how exactly does a blog translate into new leads and prospects for YOUR business?
First, you need to write blog posts that offer value specific to your target audience.
But you don't just want to give people information.
They can get that virtually anywhere.
What they are really looking for are solutions to their problems from someone they can trust.
When you use your blog to demonstrate the solution, you are instantly perceived to be an authority, an expert or a leader in your field or niche.
Along with that authority comes trust.
People trust authorities and experts.
Your blog gives you an unparalleled opportunity to show people exactly how they'll benefit by working with you, hiring you, buying your products, signing up for your services or whatever.
You can score those points with your demonstration.
SHOW people what to do to solve one little problem.
Not one insignificant problem, an important one.
But a problem small enough to show them what they can do about it in a thousand words or so.
Use screen capture images, videos, infographics, or anything that will make things crystal clear.
You've got a fan for life... and probably a repeat customer and loyal client.
Plus, they'll talk about you everywhere they go.
So think, today, what little problem can YOU give a clear, concise solution for today?
It must be a problem that YOUR audience has, and that they really need to solve.
That's the first step in leveraging your blog into a "leads" and "prospects" and "clients" magnet.
