Hi Friend
What's my secret to getting so much traffic to my blog?
I get asked that all the time.
Well, there is no one, single "secret."
There are some "power techniques" that I use, though.
What makes them powerful is not that nobody ever heard of them.
The "secret" is that some of the things I do a lot of, most bloggers know about, but just never get around to implementing.
This is one of those things.
Cross-Post Bloggers often think that their blog posts are just for their blog site. Not so. If you want more traffic coming to your blog…
… you need to reach out to the people that are interested in your niche topics … no matter where you find them … work to pull them over to your blog. So after you write a blog post… take a moment to think...
Where else can you post the same article? Sure, you might change it up a little bit.
Certainly change the title.
But basically, it will be the very same blog post that you just wrote on your blog. Now, cross-post it.
That is, post it on a different platform.
So, for instance, put your blog post on LinkedIn Pulse. Post it to Twitter's Medium. Did you know you can make it a Quora blog post? You can usually cross-post it to forum sites. The trick here is to find out just where your target audience is. Once you know that, then go to that site.
Whether it's LinkedIn, Twitter or whatever - just cross-post your content onto those sites. Then, at the end of your postings, always link back to your own blog. A little twist to this technique is to write half your blog post on an external site. Then have a little blurb that says "read the rest of this blog post here _____". Then link back your blog where people can read the original blog post in its entirety. Remember, this is only for your own blog post. Don't cross-post content from other bloggers. That's known as plagiarism.
The bottom line is this.
Write excellent content to improve your readers' lives by solving their problems.
Share your content strategically and consistently on major social media sites.
Cross-post it to other platforms like LinkedIn and Medium.
Do all of this consistently.
It will help you develop a recognized personal brand.
That, in turn, will build trust among your readers.
To the extent that all those things are done, the floodgates of free traffic will open to you.
Best luck with it.
