Hi Friend
The biggest problem to building your email list from your blog is this.
People just may not trust you.
Why not?
You're pretty nice, right?
Well, there's more to it than that.
People just visiting your blog for the first time don't really know who you are.
So, they're not likely to join your email list right off the bat.
They don't know who you are
-and-
they don't want a bunch of your junk mail.
They're just going to be very resistant to any offer you make to them.
Even people who have visited you a few times, may not have built up enough trust yet, to subscribe to your list.
Now, let’s just suppose that this is their first time or second time on your blog.
Don't let the first thing they see each time be an offer to join your email list.
I definitely discourage people from hitting people with pop-ups and splash pages that ask them to join your email list before they hardly know who you are.
You need to work with somebody for while (in terms of content) before popping that big question…
“Would you like to subscribe to my email list?”
You need to give them a reason to trust you.
You need to give them a reason to trust that you have the ability to help them solve their problems.
Trust is THE biggest block to getting email conversions.
Once you develop trust - by giving good content...
Once you develop trust - by giving simple solutions to common problems...
Once you done these things...
people begin to trust you.
They begin to trust that you are the best person to help them improve their lives…
And that you can actually help them change their lives.
Remember, people don't want an ebook.
They don’t want information.
They don’t want knowledge.
They only want the "benefits" that those things can give them.
They perceive that those benefits will lead to them having a better, easier and happier life.
That means they want to change the life that they have.
And they are looking to you to help them do that.
If they trust you to be able to fulfill that desire…
and deliver those benefits…
then they will gladly join your email list.
In fact, they'll practically beg you to let them in.
Not only that.
Once they get on your list, they'll open all your emails enthusiastically.
They'll click on your links and calls to action.
They'll tell their friends about you.
They'll become a raving fan and a repeat customer.
But it all starts with trust.
Next time, I'm going to show you one of the very best ways to build that trust really fast, at the same time that you give people a call to action to join your list.
A CTA that they just can't refuse.
Enjoy the last few hours of your weekend :)
