Today, I want you to take a look at your profitability profile.
Your blackboard has a list of how your business is structured, how you market your content, and what your productivity schedule and timeline look like.
So, the next question is…
how profitable is all this?
Let's assume that the reason you use the business structure, marketing strategy and productivity schedule you do… is to create a profitable business.
So, now that you've closely examine WHAT you do, let's talk about WHY.
Well, that's pretty simple.
The reason you've been doing all this for however long you've been doing it, is to have a profitable business, right?
So, today, I want you to tell me which of your activities or strategies is actually making your business profitable.
Figure out exactly what those profit points are.
For instance,
do you earn $300 a month from your email marketing?
$3,000?
How about your Facebook ads…
how much are you earning from those?
How much from your YouTube videos, or review blog posts?
Which blog posts result in a profit and which ones don't?
And how much profit are we talking about?
It's time to see IF what you've been doing is profitable, and to what extent… exactly.
You can't consider improving your business until you have a starting point from which to improve it.
Today's homework…
Look at your blackboard.
Put a dollar sign next to every component, strategy and production item.
How much are you earning from each thing.
If you're not making any profit at all, then, list some other benefit for doing what you're doing.
Are you building your email list by doing something?
How much, how fast, how consistently?
Have you been landing guest post assignments by running a certain strategy?
How many, how often, how consistently?
Assign some value for everything you do.
Either a dollar value (preferably) or some other value.
The point to this assignment is to see... What are you doing that is resulting in profits right now? How well is your business design, operation and strategy working? What works vs. what might be eliminated reduced?
