Hi Friend
Seeing the way most of you have been allocating your time in your business, it's not surprising to see that you work too hard and get too little results.
Now, that's not a bad thing.
In order to build your business, you need to work hard to learn what works and what doesn't work.
But now, the time has come to start learning from your experience.
So, you've been working on outlining the components of your business.
That's your "business structure."
Also, you've outlined your outreach activities.
This is your "content marketing."
Now that you have an idea of what your business structure IS and what your content marketing IS…
I'd like you to take some time and tell me what your "productivity" looks like.
You see, you need a basic business structure.
And you need a marketing plan.
But there's something that often gets pushed into the background of a blogging or online business.
That's productivity.
You see, in order to make your blog successful, you need to create content.
It could be a blog post… a video… an ebook… a guest article… an infographic…
There are many pieces of content to create.
So, before you start making your business structure and your content marketing strategy start cranking out the results you're looking for…
you need to consider what kind of content you're creating, how much of it, and on what kind of timeline.
So for today's homework, send me your weekly productivity schedule.
For instance…
I write 1 blog post a week. I upload 1 YouTube video a week. etc.
Remember this...
If you're not being productive, you have no business.
Every business must produce something to be successful.
I'm often amazed by blogging students who tell me they are dissatisfied with their results, but they only write one blog post a month, and nothing else!
That's not a business.
Not in the world of digital information and blogging, anyway.
So, do the homework, send it along and we'll continue on next week.
Meanwhile, over the weekend, I'd like you to think about how your business is looking, now that you're mapping out your business structure, content marketing strategy and productivity timetable on your "blackboard."
One more thing, maybe Saturday or Sunday...
let me know how you feel about this training after your first week.
Has it stirred anything inside of you?
Have you learned anything from it?
Is there something particular you're looking forward to during this 30 Day Challenge?
OK.
I know this is a lot of work.
But if you're serious about rebooting your business to make it more successful and profitable…
you need to work on it.
Do your homework.
Next week, we'll continue on.
