Hi Friend
Now that you have your "Create Content" plans on your blackboard, you can move on to Step 2.
Step 2. Amplify Content (traffic)
So, this is how you get traffic and that, of course, means subscribers to your email list, prospects for your business, and ultimately… customers and clients.
Yesterday, I talked about how really important it is for your prospects to see you "everywhere."
How does that happen?
It start with creating a piece of content every single day.
That was yesterday's lesson for Step 1.
Now, Step 2 is about making that content visible, getting it in front of your target audience.
There are many ways to make sure people are seeing your blog posts, guest posts, articles, social media posts, videos, photos, infographics, images…
whatever your content is, you need to get exposure for it.
You can do this with paid ads, so called PPC or pay-per-click ads.
You can do it with solo ads.
Most people like to do it with free promotion.
I recommend that you have one paid method to employ, to supplement your free "content marketing" strategy.
Now, I can't tell you what you "content strategy" should look like in an email.
That has to be discussed in private through our one-on-one email coaching discussions.
So, your homework today is to give me a list of ways you want to market your content.
You can put links to your content on social media.
Twitter, Facebook and others.
You can put links in forums or in blog comments.
You can do guest posts to link back to your site.
You can share links with other bloggers or peers within your circle of contacts.
You can ask people to embed your infographics on their sites, with links back to your blog.
You can link within YouTube videos.
There are so many ways to promote your content.
For today's homework, I want you to tell me what strategies you would like to employ for sharing your content.
If you don't quite know where to start, then you probably don't know your audience.
If you do, then it's as simple as knowing where your target audience hangs out.
Are they all on Facebook?
What Facebook pages?
Which Facebook groups?
When you know this, then your amplification strategy is clear…
spread your content links or at least ideas in those places.
Are there particular blogs that your crowd loves?
YouTube channels?
Sub-reddits?
Forums?
These are the places you should focus on for your content amplification strategy.
So, again…
Your homework…
Outline your strategy for spreading the word each and every day, for your content piece of that day.
Sure, you can do this once a week, or maybe twice.
But, what will you do the other days?
Watch videos?
Read your emails?
Try the latest fad that everyone's talking about?
Put new plugins on your blog?
Try your hand at SEO?
The truth is, your old business model was probably full of erratic and often useless activities.
These are the things you need to abandon.
Now.
Fill your time with the things that work.
Amplifying your content works.
But only when you do it every day of the week (or at the very least, 5 days out of every 7).
So, now, on to your homework.
I'll be looking for it.
