EDUCATING FOR TRICKY CONVERSATIONS
Hi Friend,

Are you aware that in some instances, harmful sexual behaviours are one of the outcomes of kids accessing p0rn?

As part of the Daniel Morcombe Foundations Changing Futures series, I am delivering a webinar next Wednesday 25 November, 1pm-2pm AESTP0rnography and Harmful Sexual Behaviours.

This webinar will focus on the research and responses relating to the impacts of p0rn on the individual, as well as its contribution to a collective toxic culture that can put young people at risk for an array of online and offline harms. Frontline workers will be presented with several key areas for consideration, including:
  • The influence of p0rn on developing sexual scripts
  • The potential for p0rn to lead to harmful sexual behaviours—online and offline
  • Sexual health and cybersafety approaches that put young people at risk
  • Essential elements of p0rn & online safeguarding education
  • Practical safeguarding tips for kids & screens
  • Educational and therapeutic resources to equip parents, schools and communities
Keep reading for more about the Changing Futures webinars, enabling frontline workers to upskill and know how to respond to harmful sexual behaviours.

Till next time, be well and stay inspired.
