Subject: What I see is not the whole truth…

Let's look deeper 'cause some truths can only be seen with the heart !

Happy Sunday Friend !

Imagine an iceberg: on the surface, a visible shape, but most of it remains hidden beneath the water.

We often do the same with human beings: a face, a behavior, an opinion, and our mind concludes, « I know who this person is. »

But beneath that surface lies an entire invisible life: fears, dreams, silent struggles, a story, a capacity to love.

And even deeper, perhaps the same Life that dwells in all of us.

When I look with my physical eyes, I mostly see what separates us. When I look with the eyes of the heart, I recognize a brother, a sister in this human experience.

I think peace begins right here! Not when the outside world changes, but when my way of seeing changes.

So today, I choose to no longer reduce a human being, including myself, to what my eyes can perceive.

🕊️ The Little Flight

This week, let’s choose one person. Someone we love. A stranger. Or, perhaps even more powerfully, someone we tend to judge.

Let’s look at that person for a moment and imagine the waterline of the iceberg. Everything we think we know about them may be above that line. Then quietly say inside ourself :

What I see is not the whole truth of you. Beyond our differences, the same Life lives within us. I choose to see you with the eyes of my heart.

No need to do anything else or to change our opinion. Don't have to accept what should not be accepted.

For just a few seconds, lets go deeper and notice what happens to our own peace.

With all my gratitude,

Janice

📚 READ — The Little Prince — Antoine de Saint-Exupéry

A book that seems simple until we read it with different eyes. Saint-Exupéry reminds us that what matters most about another being isn't always visible on the surface. Some truths become visible only when we learn to see with the heart.

🎬 WATCH — Avatar (2009)

The Na'vi expression “I see you” means far more than simply looking at another person. It speaks to truly recognizing the being before us,  a beautiful reflection of this week's invitation to look beyond form and recognize the Life we share.

🎵 LISTEN — One Love — Bob Marley & The Wailers

A beautifully simple invitation to gather around what unites us rather than what separates us. Beneath all our visible differences lives a shared human longing: to love, to be loved, and to live in peace.
