Greetings Friend -- Authentic Italy Expedition shows you the real Italy. From the countryside to the seaside -- we avoid tourists and it's all gorgeous. 

This unique 9-day expedition is perfect for you if you've already been to Rome and Florence -- or if you haven't been to Italy yet!  (Yes, Rome is a great city, yet many have been there. If you want to see Rome again or for the first time -- we can add it in 3-4 days after this expedition, just let us know.)

Authentic Italy takes place from Rome to Abruzzo then throughout the most undiscovered, Molise region, and then all the way to Matera, the city of caves in the boot of Italy and on to luxury by the sea.

We'll enjoy all the things that Italy offers from natural scenic beauty to outstanding cuisine and wine, history, culture, and adventure. 
You get to stay in unique places including a luxury hotel built into a cave, an beautifully converted convent, luxury on a seaside cliff, country inns, and more.

This is a cultural and historic expedition so anyone in normal good health can participate. 

Yet it is also a real adventure...

Some of us will be off-road in jeeps during the part of the adventure of retracing the ancient trail. Those who ride horses can choose to be on horseback on this 4-5 day segment. 

We will all meet for lunch and dinner, and meet in the same places for activities.
And there is so much more to this... we visit the oldest family run business in the world -- a 1,000 year-old bell factory visited by Pope John Paul II ... see the one-of-a-kind Trulli houses in Alberobello ...visit ancient churches...
