Last year we had our initial expedition, custom designed for WWX by our partner and friend, Eddy Downpatrick. Here he is above, with me above in Portugal.
In fact, since our collaboration began in 2021, you may already have been on one of our expeditions that he's led. Eddy's such a pleasure to travel with and he finds so much pleasure in sharing the world, as I do.
So last year when I asked him to design his “dream” Scotland trip – did he ever! He loves Scotland deeply, having lived in the Scottish Highlands and led private bespoke expeditions in the past.
Our Scotland Expedition received rave reviews. We could call it “Royal Scotland,” as where we go and who we meet can only really be achieved by someone of Eddy’s friendships and history in that part of the world.
Again this year he’s arranging special visits for you in Scotland’s most iconic monuments, among which is Scone Palace, the crowning place of Scottish Kings and whose owners are old friends of Eddy’s. The other places barely need mentioning, but believe me, they’re on the special side of things.
Rebel and I loved being on the Scotland Expedition last year and this year we'll she and I will be exploring Mongolia at that time.
The reason that he’s known in the British Isles as Eddy Downpatrick is due to his current title, Lord Downpatrick, and uses the English spelling: "The Splendours of Scotland." He is quite "down-to-earth" as we say, and enjoys America and Americans very much! |
